Sir Hubert he was created by Queen Victoria,
Hubert von Herkomer, a famous German i.e.
      Bavian descend Painter and Portraitist
who lived in the next house nearby,
here in the Mother's Tower, now
the Herkomer Museum, a Museum of Art,
naturelly lots of works by the master.

As he had it named, in order to express
respect to his mother, he had installed
his atelier as artist, in 1888 having built
that tower like an old time Normand Castle
in the UK. Spending part of his life here,
as an elder gentleman he lived and worked
in Great Britain, where at that time he was
highly esteemed and may be the most
famous painter of portraits in the country.

The Tower nowadays serves to families as a place
of meetings and cultural events, including young
children, to give them a place to enjoy the
      gardens around.
