Morrisons in Caernarfon is a decent sized supermarket located close to the town centre. There's a more than adequately sized car park and a petrol station.

Inside you'll find a small café as well as in house butcher, bakery and fishmongers as well as a wide selection of groceries. The staff are friendly and helpful.

One word of warning, it does get very busy at lunchtime when it seems every school kid in Caernarfon turns up to buy sausage rolls and doughnuts for their lunch. If you can try to avoid shopping at this time.

The Caernarfon store is an excellent Morrisons store. It's a similar size to the one in Bangor, the nearest city, but it feels a lot more comfortable - possibly because it's not full of local students all the time.

The store itself is well laid out and designed, the same as some of the other Morrisons stores, with the fruit and vegetables first, followed by tins, biscuits and confectionary, and cleaning equipment and household goods, seasonal products, then the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, before th fridges and bakery sections and finally the freezer sections. The fish and deli counters are along the top row and along the bottom there's a selection of dvds, cds, games and confectionary.

The only downside to the Morrisons store in Caernarfon is the lack of a proper books and magazines aisle - instead they are located past the checkouts at the lottery/cigarette counter.

The store is clean and tidy and has many checkout staff, as well as some 'basket-only' checkouts.

Good value for money shopping all be it with badly laid out point of sale islands impeding my sensible movement around the store. You will also wait an age at the tills, twice as long as any other supermarket. And don't think you're going to take that one loaf of bread over to the cigarette counter to bypass the three people with massive monthly shops in front of you because there is a strict no serving policy on anything from the main store. Points for petrol station, toilets, bakery, fishmongers etc.
