Well, here's what I can say about Mori: the Japanese chicken curry with rice does what it says on the tin.

For £7.25, you get a paper carton filled to the brim with steaming food. A reasonably legitimate-tasting golden curry sauce layered on top of perfectly cooked sticky rice, and a variety of veg (scallions, onions, potatoes, carrots). True to the menu's description, it's 'chicken curry' - and the important thing to realise is that it's NOT 'chicken katsu curry'. I made that poor assumption and was slightly disappointed to find no wonderfully crunchy bits of breaded and fried fowl.

Whilst I thought my dish was filling and savoury, Mori apparently suffers from the Marylebone syndrome that plagues many establishments in the neighbourhood. I could have had an equivalent (or better) for at least a quid less from a number of independents around Farringdon. Ah well; on to the next!

You know? You know what you are getting. It's food in a box, from a fridge. It's fine. It's not great nor bad. Just okay.

But? Yes: but...I have had better rice to go with the sushi, from a box, from a fridge.

Decent food, I did enjoy my meal, decor nice and service is fine. However a bit more expensive than rivals, not sure if I would choose to pay the extra again ?Seating a bit cramped between the tables. 3g signal very bad and I could not get the wifi to work, but that may just be me.Queing also a bit of a mess at busy times. All in all a decent place, is a new branch and it may turn into something great.

When I popped into Mori, the menu seemed to ring bells in my mind. The mix of Japanese food and fro yo was very reminiscent of Itsu, so I did a little research to see which came first

According to their respective websites, Itsu was started in 1997 and Mori in 2009, so Mori is hanging on the coat tails of Itsu's successful chain of 37 shops in London

To be honest, I don't like pre-packed sushi or noodles in a cardboard tub, so I tend to stay clear of these but I do pop in for a cheap cup of fro yo

Mori offers natural and chocolate flavours and with the small cup only coming in at 133 calories, it's healthier than a 2 finger Kit Kat bar (128 calories), especially when topped with some fresh fruit toppings

Pleasantly surprised that our takeaway was so fresh and tasty. Service at this location was also very good.
