This large pub is situated on 'Blackstone Edge', which is on the Moors leading over to West Yorkshire.
On clear days, you get fantastic views of the moors & surrounding villages. ...It can be a wee bit chilly & windy though, if you need to have a smoke outside!
The food menu is extensive: ranging from snacks, main meals, specials & a la carte. So, there is something available to suit all budgets, large or small.
The portions are generous & alot of the dishes are home-made on the premises. Customer service is friendly.
It is a great pub for all the family, and also good for special occasions.
The location is a great spot for walkers, to take a rest & grab a drink & a bite to eat. You can also, just have a hot drink with a sweet, if thats what you fancy.
There are entertainment nights, which include: quizzes, discos, themed nights & local artists.
I feel that the only downside to this pub, is that it is a little out of the way, from the main Village - so transport is required. Therefore - you may need to abstain from alcohol consumption, if a car is your only means of getting there.
