We went to Media Markt to buy a new mobile phone. They had a really nice assortment of sim-free phones at quite decent prices, and we picked up a LG model for a bit cheaper than at Saturn nearby (even though they belong to the same parent company).
Upon leaving Media Markt, we opened the box and realized that it had been opened before us, even so far as someone's note papers being placed in the instruction manual and the battery wrapping being open. We returned to Media Markt to have the device replaced, only to find out that several of the replacement models had been previously opened as well. We finally left with what seemed like a new model and happy that the service was kind throughout the ordeal.
No reservations about coming back here, although would check the condition of any higher-priced item I decide to purchase. If I buy a refurbished model by accident, I might as well do it on eBay :)
I had to buy all my kitchen appliances and went here for pricing. I spoke with a woman in the appliance department. First, she could not find the oven model number in her computer. Her answer, This does not exist! While standing behind her at her computer kiosk in the middle of the floor, she implied that I was spying on her prices and told me to stand over there like I was some child. After all her rude behavior and insults I decided to take my business across the street to Innova. The people there were friendly, professional and their prices happened to be lower. (They had no problem finding the oven model) In the end, I spent over 4k...and NOT at media markt.
