This chippy is amazing
First of all, it's not just a takeaway, you can eat in too, and there are no extra charges for eating in, like some takeaways. Secondly, they offer a gluten free batter (on request) which is great considering I have a mild gluten intolerance - everything is also fried in seperate friers e.g gluten free battered fish wouldn't be fried in the same fryer as normal battered fish, which is also a plus. I also don't know how they do it but their food is never mega greasy which makes it easier to enjoy. Their prices are fair, food is delicious and worth every penny and I'll be damned if I can find anywhere that serves better chip shop curry sauce than McNics! Well worth a visit if you've got that chippy craving! Will definitely be returning there and would recommend to anyone!
This chip shop is fantastic. You can eat in as well as take away at the same prices. It's nice, warm and clean to eat in. Much nicer than you would expect for a chip shop. You are asked to clear away your plates etc. But I think this is a good idea as it clears the tables quicker. Prices are about average for fish and chips. Queues can get big at busy times and the service can be slow, depending on who/how many are serving. Food is usually really good quality and cooked nicely. They fry in vegetable oil, which makes the chips veggie friendly. This is why I choose to eat from this chip shop especially.
