Really nice place that reminds me of the cafes you find in Japan. We just had macha lattes and some scrummy onigiri, but they serve proper food as well, as a huge selection of green teas. The food looked delicious. Atmosphere was really nice, and the place seems to be popular among Japanese ex-pats. Especially women with small children.
I'm going back to sample their food next time I am around. No doubt.
MACHEMA is a green tea cafe, which a huge selection! I went by here, when wandering around, trying to figure out where to eat. Machema is very cute from the inside and looks like a proper japanese place, the staff is all japanese as well. Their specialty is definitely green tea, but they also have a small menu to choose from (food is served until 18:00). They have bento-box ranging from €6.50-8.00 as well as avocado salad, edamame, some soups etc. They also have different types of mochi and some other desserts. I think it's a great place to sit and chat instead of a regular cafe and also for a quick lunch, if you're looking for huge options though, this place is not it. The only thing I found weird was that the miso soup I had came with potatoes instead of tofu, but maybe this was improvised. I also found the avocado salad to be a bit expensive, but then in mitte everything is kinda expensive. I decided to give 4 stars nonetheless, because the atmosphere was nice and the food tasted good.
