Feel like I am in Japan!! They have very authentic Japanese dessert, food and super tasty green tea (you can refill it for unlimited time!). My favorite is the green tea cheese cake!! Yummy. Service is also perfect!
I went to Mamecha 3 times and the waitress was always so unfriendly.
Sorry I won't go there anymore...
Of course I don't expect Japanese Service in Berlin (also I feel like Japanese Service is bit way too much) but I felt a good hospitality gets only for German not for Japanese.
Really nice place that reminds me of the cafes you find in Japan. We just had macha lattes and some scrummy onigiri, but they serve proper food as well, as a huge selection of green teas. The food looked delicious. Atmosphere was really nice, and the place seems to be popular among Japanese ex-pats. Especially women with small children.
I'm going back to sample their food next time I am around. No doubt.
MACHEMA is a green tea cafe, which a huge selection! I went by here, when wandering around, trying to figure out where to eat. Machema is very cute from the inside and looks like a proper japanese place, the staff is all japanese as well. Their specialty is definitely green tea, but they also have a small menu to choose from (food is served until 18:00). They have bento-box ranging from €6.50-8.00 as well as avocado salad, edamame, some soups etc. They also have different types of mochi and some other desserts. I think it's a great place to sit and chat instead of a regular cafe and also for a quick lunch, if you're looking for huge options though, this place is not it. The only thing I found weird was that the miso soup I had came with potatoes instead of tofu, but maybe this was improvised. I also found the avocado salad to be a bit expensive, but then in mitte everything is kinda expensive. I decided to give 4 stars nonetheless, because the atmosphere was nice and the food tasted good.
