Venue of the Qype City Night in August 2008. Accidentially I was a little early, it was nice weather, so I took seat in the garden - where we ended up for good. The Service was very attentive, as I looked around for the others, I was immediately offered assistance.
I ordered a cheese plate (EUR 6,90) and and Brezels (EUR0,95/each), the cheese plate looking appetizing.
All in all a very nice evening, for the after-hour-beer (special homemade brew - tasty) worth full five stars.
So why four only? Okay, they had a very nice chanterelles menu (special). I selected pork medallions with Spätzle (special noodle type from my home area) and the chanterelles (EUR 14,90). The meal was very good, but I would have done equally well at home - and gotten saturated. Got here too, but only thanks to the brezels and cheese upfront. The meals are highly priced and for that simply too small. Three slices of small pork medallions (I've seen them at least 1/3rd larger elsewhere), combined with the very tasty Spätzle and maybe 15-20 chanterelles (EUR14,60). The sauce was floury. As mentioned, this is a critic on high niveau. It WAS tasty. But the portion simply out of the question. Neither the nice service nor the taste can make good for that. With cheese plate (small too), brezels, 2 beer, two Latte Macchiato I paid more than 40 Euros.
So dear Kathrin (service), I will not come that often, maybe for an after hour beer, maybe taking a snack (brezels or such), but for sure not to eat.
