Whilst not the cheapest pizzas in town, they are the same price as the big thick doughy ones.

They offer great tasting pizza on thin crust, I recommend their hot pizzas! Fantastic taste, prompt delivery and it doesn't make you feel like you've eaten a food baby.

Two different friends recommended Lupa highly when we moved to West Hampstead. We ordered for our first meal in our new place, and I felt very meh. Five months later, I don't bother trying pizza from anywhere else, and we probably order once a month for just the boy and me, plus when we need pizza for a large group.

What's the difference? Well, the toppings have always been great. I was initially disappointed that the crust was not as crispy as I wanted for thin crust pizza. I want it a little chewy, but unmistakeably audible when biting in. Solution: throw a slice in a pan on the stove for 2-3 minutes, and voila! This is also the method for reheating leftovers (more time than when just arrived, obviously).

Lupa gets it 95% of the way there, so I just make it perfection on my own. The boy, also picky about pizza, as a NYer, has no patience and just digs in. Delivery is pretty fast and always within estimate.

I particularly recommend the Mediterraneo for veggie and non alike. I've tried the garlic bread, which was insufficiently garlic for my garlic-loving taste.

    First to Review

I got take-away from here tonight.

Hmmm.  I want to love it.  But....

Well, to begin with, I ordered two 16" pizzas over the phone and they said that they would be ready to collect in 10-15 mins (very quick!  A little too quick, perhaps?)

The 16" pizzas are all £10 if you go to collect it Mondays-Thursdays (I'm not sure how long this deal lasts, but my friend who wanted to get the pizzas from here knew that they would be £10 tonight).  So that's pretty good.

So we ordered the 'Fiama' (spicy nduja salami, roquito peppers, prosciutto, grana padano, tomato and mozzarella) and the 'Quattro Stagioni' (pepperoni, prosciutto, artichoke hearts, roasted wild and field mushrooms, marinated olives, fresh thyme, tomato and mozzarella).

The crust is EXTREMELY thin.  Kind of felt like more of a flatbread.  Plus, it was a little overcooked, so it became kind of crunchy.  It didn't taste decadently pizza-ish enough.  The toppings didn't look fresh and delicious enough.  THERE JUST WASN'T ENOUGH CHEESE.  When I pick up a slice of pizza, I like the struggle to remove it from the box because the stringy bits of cheese are oozing all over the place.  This didn't happen.

It wasn't a 'bad' pizza, it just didn't do it for me.  I would rather head to Casareccia in Kilburn...

Oh man, can I just say that they have the most amazing vegetarian pizzas.  We had one with goat's cheese, caramelised onions and truffle oil; just don't ask me what I was called. There is also the Fughi di Bosco, which combines several mushrooms with truffle paste and taleggio cheese. As a meat eater you should try the Fiama. Just writing about it makes me hungry.

It's such a relief to find a pizzeria, which is coming up with some more inventive toppings than just courgettes and peppers. If you order online you also have the option to create a half/half pizza of your own choosing. Delivery is not the fastest, but the pizza in itself is always hot and lovely crispy.

We were pleased with the food at Lupa, but the delivery service takes a little over an hour.  We ordered online and received an order number.  After it hit the hour mark, we were just about to call and ensure that they had received the order, when our food arrived.

After arrival, we were pleasantly pleased with the Diavola pizza.  It was a thin crust pizza and had delicious cheese, pepperonis, and jalepeno peppers on it.  Since the jalepenos were fresh, it had a nice spice to it.  Regarding the lasagna, it was bit bland and I probably wouldn't try it again.

As a side note, Lupa has also partnered with Marine Ice on Haverstock Hill.  If you don't mind spending a few extra pounds, their strawberry ice cream was delicious.  Definitely recommend.

If you're looking at Lupa close to when this review was posted, they have a few specials that you should check out.  If you spend £25 - you receive £5 off.  If you spend £30, you receive £10 off.

I've ordered from here a few times and have always been a happy customer.  Thin crust pizza, freshly made, good toppings-  perfect for a night in.  By the way, always ask if they are running a special!

Decent delivery pizza with quick and efficient service. The tomato sauce they use is especially good. Simple, quality toppings.
