I just took my kids down here not really knowing if it was open or not, but it was and we had a great time! They have pick-your-own strawberries at the moment (June), but say they will have other soft fruits soon.
The strawberries are grown on raised beds at shoulder height, and the fruits hang down so are really easy to pick. Nice not to have to bend down and pick them from the ground! My mother had come along with us and was able to join in too - she's in her seventies and didn't think she'd be picking fruit again!
There was ice-cream and cold drinks for sale - no coffee but we didn't really need hot drinks given the weather.
Handy location for those in Edinburgh - not far out of town and a good stop of point on trips to the beach in East Lothian.
Also a good activity for kids on rainy days - the strawberries are grown in tunnels so still a fun thing to do in bad weather.
Overall a lovely afternoon - we'll be back again and will be making lots of strawberry jam!
