Excellent place. We just completed 3 difficult but great courses on the zipwire activity. It is really well organised, has so many actual zips and is really challenging in a stunning environment. The trees are some of the finest in the country, ancient and magnificent. And 27€ per adult is good value believe me, after 3-4 hours of climbing and zipping you will be dreaming of the cafe. There are so many other activities to do here for families and adults. Cant say enough about the place. I hate paying for parking but I have to admit 4€ is not much when you can be there for the entire day.
Just two hours and a bit from Dublin. Loads of great places around this part of Eire. The west is the best.
We were just driving past on our way from Dublin to Sligo, and I'm so glad we stopped here. It is superbly beautiful. We had a lovely time walking around, and took lots of photos (see photo gallery). we had lunch in the visitors centre, and very nice it was too. We ate out on the deck, which looks out to the lake. There is tourist information and a gift shop in the visitors centre.
Parking was 4 Euros, and there are quite a few other attractions which have separate entrance fees
