Blimey! Jolly old England. On my last trip to London, I stayed at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall. A luxurious 5-star hotel where the land of gentry "upper class" feel right at home pulling up their Chelsea tractors for valet. The frugal, rich wankers. Bloody, hell... the stay here was C-L-A-S-S-Y. Our suite had a king size bed, which I had to jump on and yell, "I'm queen of the world. And I'm ready for tea an crumpits with Queeny Liz. God Save the Queen."  Lucky for me, my sweetie finds my cheeky antics amusing.

Our comfortable suite had a mini bar, complimentary tea and coffee, and a view of the river Thames that was unbelievable. We could see Parliament, Big Ben, and all the regal English architecture of London from our suite. Our suite was smack in the center of the London Eye (the millennium fares wheel). Every morning, my sweetie and I would awake to the London Eye's egg shaped pods rotate upward passed our window. The pods were filled with daft tourist. We would just laugh at all the people inside the pod eggs. And say, "Look at all the chicks in the egg. Wankers!!! Cheeky monkeys."

Jolly-O... the accommodations at the Marriott made my sweetie and I feel like aristocrats. On our five night stay, we slept like royalty and made use of the complimentary breakfast. Nespresso coffee and cappuccino, English cheeses and croissants would greet us good morning. And if we needed to catch up on the U.S. news (politicians facing criminal charges or know about Paris Hilton's latest mood disorder), CNN in the breakfast dinning room was there to fill the void. Four those 5 nights at the Marriott, it was an enjoyable and relaxing home away from home. As we visited my sweeties' family by day, went sight-seeing to all the hot spots (Knotting Hill, Picadilly Circus, and the queen's pad), it was so nice to return to our comfortable hotel suite and find our bed made and a mint laid out on our pillows. Quality service. The hotel staff, the mints on the pillow each night and the over-all hospitality of the London Marriott is supreme. On our next trip to London, I am treating my sweetie and I to the London Marriott. My Sweeties' Marriot rewards swan song played and paid for the accommodations this last trip. Thanks, my Love!

Cheerio, darlings!

What can I say, this is a 5 start hotel. Service was simply just amazing. you get what you paid for. We attended a function there and we enjoyed great bar service and food was awesome. Will visit them again (as long as we can afford...)

I love the location of this hotel, it is in the best South Bank spot, County Hall, and the views are stunning. The rooms are very comfortable although some are looking a little jaded. The beds are very luxurious and the service is excellent. It is expensive but you are paying for the location. The pool and spa areas are very nice if somewhat quaint.

This is one of the company-approved hotels during those very few times I am in London on business.  It's within convenient walking distance of the Corporate HG, the London Eye, the Underground, the Westminster Bride, the West End, South Bank, and other local attractions.

It's a beautiful and hospitable, albeit expensive hotel.  And it is an island of luxury and quiet amongst the hustle and bustle of London Town. The rooms are comfortable too and the service is as high end as the facility.

The English breakfast is not included in the price, although there is a McDonald's close by if you don't wish to pay full freight in the hotel's nicely appointed dining room.

The beautiful Marriott County Hall is an existence of luxury.

As you turn off the crazy chaotic streets of London, you drive under a giant cobbled structured archway where you enter a different world. Perfectly pruned grass and gardens, large stone stairway leading to a grand entrance with well dressed porters and door men waiting to be completely at your service!

I have been fortunate to stay here once and dine here a few times when my parents have been in town.

The rooms are bliss. Huge big comfortable beds, beautiful views over the Thames River with the London Eye directly in front of you - I could see the people in the pods! The London skyline lights up at night creating a magnificent view.

The health suite is such a delight - facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages - anything you could dream of in peaceful serenity. It was Mum's birthday so we both had a relaxing facial and manicure.

The main bar area is where you can either have drinks before you go out to a restaurant, eat at the hotel restaurant or just spend the evening. The bar, as you can imagine, is filled with beautiful big armchairs, velvet couches, wooden tables and a magnificent grand bar with huge chandeliers. The views across London are again spectacular and the service is spot on!

This is a very expensive Hotel, however for a special occasion or someone else is paying it is fantastic.

I had the pleasure of staying here for one night a few years ago on my first trip to London. The location is absolutely unbeatable with a tube stop and several tourist destinations in such close proximity. The hotel staff was so hospitable and generous. The decor in the rooms was "old english country" which some people might enjoy - if your tastes are much more modern then the room environment might not be for you. The tea service in the room was excellent. The only annoying thing was walking across Westminster Bridge because it can tend to be crowded with tourists taking pictures of Big Ben, County Hall and the London Eye. Price notwithstanding, I would certainly stay here again.

if i ever need to stay in london again, i will surely stay here. not only did i have the best stay here, but the customer service, front desk, and concierge are the most top-notch people i've ever encountered in a hotel. everyone was so helpful, especially since we weren't the easiest travelers.. we had to check in early, leave our bags, and then had a mishap with a security lock stuck on a bag that i needed to take onto a plane the next morning. the incredibly kind girl at the front desk practically bent over backwards to help out and found someone else in the hotel who could snip a store security lock that had accidentally been left on a purchase i made earlier in the day, no questions asked).

our room was gorgeous, with a view of the london eye. lovely bedding, great comforters, and generally excellent above-the-marriott-standard accomodations.

the only minuses: it was a little bit of a walk to waterloo station, but that's okay. the walk to our actual room on the 3rd floor was bizarre. since the hotel used to actually be the county hall that housed parliament, the layout obviously wasn't meant to suit weary travelers. our room was located about 500 feet from the elevator. at one point, we were so tired of the walk that we basically gave up on dinner. my lazy ass wished there was a people mover, but thoughts like that scare me because i suddenly imagine myself in someone's basement, playing magic and smelling like i haven't showered in a week.

great hotel, lovely location, lots of good restaurants nearby, and exceptional customer service. what more can you ask for? i'll definitely be back!

I would definitely stay here again if I could afford it.  The County Hall Marriott had a great location, comfortable beds and a nice pool.  My sister in-law and her family live in the Yorkshire and when visiting them, we all went down to London and stayed here.  The staff were very friendly, and the kids loved the pool.  The location was fantastic for sightseeing especially when you are trying to see things with 2 small children in tow.  The only draw back is that it is a VERY expensive place and then on top of that they try to charge 15 pounds per day for internet!  Ouch, that is not such a reasonable price.

This is an extremely nice hotel.
+ The rooms have outstanding views of the Thames, Westminster, Big Ben and the London Eye.
+ Great staff.
+ Great location.
- They have a 100% smoke free policy. I would note however that they do not seem to enforce it very well. I could smell cigarette smoke for most of my stay, and the porter admitted that they secretly allow guests to smoke in certain rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors.
- Owing to the unusual shape of the County Hall building, your room might be 3-4 minutes walk from the elevator.
