Feathers, masks, tassles and heels.
The preemptive Valentine's performance to London Burlesque Week was a taste of all the swinging hips and spinning tassels we will get a glimpse of during the big event. It was a truly titillating experience to feast my eyes on the curvaceous talent that graced the stage. These ladies really know how to tease a crowd, slowly disrobing with all the facial expressions and gallivanting to match.
Not knowing what to expect, the amount of laughter ensued was a pleasant surprise. Mr. B and his banjalele absolutely brought the house down, his witty humour as The Gentleman Rhymer left me bouncing in my seat and singing along to his alternatively-fashioned rap medleys.
Other memorable talents include Kiki Kaboom and her rendition of Judy, BB Rose for her glamourous costuming and Miss Astrid for hosting in true dominatrix fashion. As for my attendance to London Burlesque Week, count me in if I can still get my hands on a ticket.
The Battle Royale at O2 Academy Islington drew a big, up for it crowd, that cheered on the newbie burlesque ladies with glee. This stand up event was a lot of fun and plenty of the crowd dressed up in their naughty best. Kinky!
Not quite as cool as the full bloodied pro's this was still a fabulous Chaz Royal production. He could well be the king of burlesque.
