Very disappointing. Using false advertising!
I recently bought a car which was advertised as with air-condition.
I test-drove it, then bought the car for a good price, explained to me as trade sale. Staff was friendly throughout the process, the problem came afterwards.
The car does not have an air-condition!
This is false advertising, and according to the Sale of Goods Act 1979, I have the right for a full refund, as the goods are not as described.
I have complained to LMC several times, via e-mail, post and telephone, and two weeks later, I still have not received an official response from them.
The only response I got was on the telephone after my 5th call, that they would not take the car back, in a very snappy tone, just before they hung up on me.
This is extremely disappointing, and I would have expected a company as experienced as LMC to treat their customers better and with more respect.
UPDATE: Four weeks after the initial sale of the car, the company has agreed to refund me the full amount and has done so today. However, I still had other expenses during this first month (insurance, road tax, etc), but I am glad it is sorted now.
