arrived an hour early ( in May ) and was seen early as it was quiet.needing several replacement passports I had brought passport pictures. I have always printed my own in the past, I did the same for my drivers license, and have printed photos for friends also, all successfully. These photos were of the same standard and quality. The attendant told me that they would probably not scan well and this would delay my passports ( knowing I had a week to get them urgently this would of course scare me )also said they were a little blurry.. ( these were higher quality than most passport booth pictures !) She advised i use the passport picture booth in their office which just happened to be £5 each.. ( for a handful of us of us ) .. got the pictures done as I had no choice due to timing etc. and found it laughable that the new pictures were inferior to my own ones. I wonder how my drivers license pic passed ok and how my friends passport pictures had been fine a few days earlier we had a line of people behind us at the photo booth all been told the same thing and having to pay for new pictures I like to see the good in people but i can not help but see this as a great little money making scheme when people are in a rush, have a booked appointment, have traveled a distance to get there and are usually in a rush to get their passports done.
parking is expensive near by too.. so add that on to your passport fee.
passports are ridiculously expensive, and replacement costs for lost or stolen passports leave a sour taste in your wallet.
