Of all the theme parks in Florida this was easily my favourite. A very relaxed family orientated atmosphere where you walk around the various countries in the world. Each country as you would expect offers you something unique, allowing you to have a brief taste of there country and it's traditions. These include food from that area and allowing you to buy items associated with that country.
Then there is the rides, without having the big nail biting rides of it's relatives these are still extremely exciting and offer you something different.
The queues did not seem to be as lengthy as it's counterparts and all the staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly.
Well worth remaining the the fireworks show at night which capped off a fabulous day out. Recommended with flying colours.
We took a holiday to Orlando earlier this year (May), and visited Disney Epcot.
Overall we found this to be a little dated, and three of the rides we went on broke down. Two of which broke down while we were on them.
However, as with all Disney parks - It was certainly very well kept, tidy, and despite the above comments, we had an enjoyable day.
The food was delicious, and would like to visit again to go on the rides we didn't have much luck with !
This was one of the quieter parks, but just as good as all the others. I would say this one is slightly more educational than the others. But this was the one the kids chose to go back to on the last day.
There were less big rides, so this meant less queue.
It is worth getting your fast pass for Soarin, straight away. (In disney you can get a fast pass for one ride at a time, but this is included in your ticket price).
Soarin' was the best ride there.
The kids made cookies as junior chefs and we also went on extra tour (extra charge) where we saw the Land of Epcot, where they grow products without soil.
Epcot is so easy to spot due to the massive Spaceship earth ride at the front of the park which is the only ride that didn't have a long wait due to it being utter rubbish. Often breaks saw it 8 years ago and still the same rubbish.
Being honest only three rides worth going on in here
Mission space, Test track and soarin the rest really are not my cup of tea but I suppose if you had small kids they would love it.
I kind of fell let down by Disney and find it very overrated. I find universal studies and sea world to be much better for entertainment. Sorry if I sound a bit grumpy but I just think they could do so much more. How many gifts shops do they want they could easier take half of these out and install some better quality rides.
Whilst the park is good, it is not a patch on the others in the area. The rides are good, but the wait for Soarin is often crazy and fast passes go early so i would head to get them straight away. The fireworks around world show case used to be so much better, they are down to 15 minutes now which was a little dissapointing.
Honey i shrunk the kids is a must do and the jumping water entertains kids of all ages.
A one day park for me, but then my dad would happily spend more time there.
Great place to visit, the second of the Florida Disney parks. This one opened in 1982, and has moved with the times. The highlight of the park has got to be Test Track, which simulates the conditions a car goes through when it is being developed, this ride is just amazing.
The park is split up in to 2 sections the first part is the futuristic part and then the second part which is based around the lake, which features all different countries from around the world making up 'World Showcase' which featres ride, restraunts and exhibitions, when you get around to the UK, and you are missing home home, you can order fish and chips and wash it down with a pint of bitter if you are missing home so much!! When you are there you must make sure you stay late enough to see the firework display that is on most evenings.
I always seem to enjoy this park more than I think I will and return every time we visit Disney.
They always seem to be introducing new rides and last we went it was Mission Space which was excellent. The rides really made you feel like you were flying to space and we even fought over who would be the driver!! When you finish the ride the after show experience is worth looking at, there are interactive computer games and other high tec stuff.
Another good thing that we did in Epcot that people often don't know about was ride a Segway! I the imagination pavilion you can do this for free and I highly recommend it, it was the high light of our trip.
Epcot is well worth a visit!
Epcot was amazing! We went on a really warm day and it was still very busy! The best part of the whole experience was Soarin' I dont normally like hieghts but was dragged on to the ride by the kids but once we got going it was fantastic. I would advice you to pick a Fast Pass ticket for this ride as it gets really busy. We got ours at 9 in the morning and we were timed to go on the ride at 3 in the afternoon!!
The World Showcase was amazing we particularaly liked Mexico and Norway.
Inside the Mexican pyramid there is a water ride that Donald Duck take you on a tour of Mexico. The kids kept asking the Mexican staff what the Mexican words for Hello and Goodbye were. For two days we had them speaking mexican!!
At Norway we learnt all about the vikings and trolls on the water ride.
In each of the places on the Showcase there is traditional entertainment, i recommend the Japanese drummers, and food, i recommend the Morroccan foods. We also sat in at the Chinese restaurant which was really tasty and friendly.
Something to watch out for is the entertainment on offer at the American Gardens Theatre and the British Invasion.
The night time fireworks display was just awesome. The fireworks are accompanied with a music and light show which was one of the highlights of the holiday.
Epcot was a trully amazing side of disneyworld, especcialy going inside the big white ball and going on test drive.
Epcot was a strange one. Kind of two theme parks in one with cool rides in one section and then the World Showcase in another section. Due to our time limits we really didn't give the World Showcase a chance as we only really did a walk by without going in to investigate the individual pavilions. Highlights: Soarin'; Mission: SPACE; Test Track; The Universe of Energy.
I am disney mad and Epcot is no exception. It has some great rides including the speedway track and space. You can also travel around mini countries in epcot such as norway, china and england. Love epcot and cant wait to go back in december!
Epcot was the more 'scinece' park . I loved the epcot sculpute. I think all people will enjoy this park but maybe not as much as the other ones. you have the chance to see the world in epcot . Some great rides in this park.
This is my favourite of all the disney parks. The world showcase if really good - especially if you go when the food and wine festival is on ( this year it was october). The rides here are also fantastic - soarin' is a must even if you do have to dtand in a queue for 50-6- minutes to get on. My other favourite is test track - you can speed up the wait if you are happy to go one as a single rider - doesn't really matter as when the ride starts you don't really need company. Well worth the entry fee.
Loved Epcot, there were some really good rides such as Spaceship Earth, Soarin', Mission Space (very realistic simulator). The World Showcase around the lake was good too, featuring restaurants from around the world. The Epcot food and drink festival was on whilst I was there too. The fireworks show on the lake at closing is well worth staying for too.
Epcot is an amazing theme park at Walt Disney World. It has two parts: World Showcase and Future World. I would recommend spending two days at this park. World Showcase is wonderful for experiencing different films, attractions, shops and cuisine from around the world. I love the Mitsukoshi department store in Japan! Future World features many different pavilions, and some brilliant rides, such as Soarin' and Test Track. Do not miss this park if you are in Orlando!
This is an amazing park to vist for a number of reasons. The rides in this park are like no other you ever seen. The best two are Soreing and Test Track. The only problem is this park could well be a three day park. The first day you will spend all day in world show case, which is walking around the world visting different counrties, this is not for anyone who hates walking. This is a long and painful day lol. The second day is spend in the other parts of the park, in there you can ride on thooses two rides and do loads more hands on activties as well.
Great theme park unlike any other. Has some truly unique ride experiences in soarin, spaceship earth, mission space and test track. Also has a lot of great, but pricey restaurants located around the world showcase lagoon. Nightly fireworks display is one of the best around.
Apparently, a lot of people are quite disappointed by this park because it's leaning towards being educational but I absolutely love it! The World Showcase is fantastic and I could spend hours in the shops that are in each country. The restaurant in Mexico is quite expensive but the food is amazing.
This park isn't full of roller coasters but it does have some good rides and simulators. I especially like the Imagination ride because althought it's changed, it stills brings back memories of being a kid and playing in the Image Works Studio after the ride. My only disappointment is that the original studio has been replaced.
I think this is a great park for kids and adults but I would advise going before you go to the more traditional Magic Kingdom, because it could be a little disappointing for the little ones if they're expecting more of the same.
What can i say terrible crowds, old & i mean old out of date rides & exhibits, nothing has changed in that park in 10 years if not more, probably more if the truth be known, it's good for a one time visit & that's. i just don't understand why people keep coming back.. stupidity i guess or just an incapable urge to waste their time & money
must to see
Epcot is fab! Didn't think it would be my kind of thing - but loved it. I especially loved grabbing some fish and chips in London!! Go!!
Education combined with Disney to produce the Epcot centre. This is a park that has a slower pace and is often preferred by older members of the family, as well as many of the younger generation. It offers rides and knowledge and is worth spending a day, although even then you won't have seen half of it!
Though this was a bit dull. Quite small and rides a bit boring. Could easily do in a few hours. Food was great in the world food area. Had a decent chinese!
what can i say florida is my most favourite place on earth, walt disney world is fantastic for both the young and old, anyway epcot is a fantastic park and has lots and lots of entertainment, it is of course set off by the big golf ball spaceship earth, we have only just got back, the kids loved test track and my little boy liked malestrom, we had dinner at the rose and crown twice which was really nice, plus the illuminations at the end really sets the day off well. make sure you take comfy shoes as it is a very long walk round.
a fantastic place to go and learn and have fun and have a magic time to all the rides are great and the staff are really nice. the place is really clean and the place is well maintained. it is one of the best places in the world
