The food is quite good, even if the scallops were horribly overpriced for the tiny portion and the steak was similarly tiny. The spinach salad was literally spinach and dressing but it was so tasty that I wasn't even offended! The bread was *delicious*.
The service is brisk and attentive. The restaurant is oddly long and decor is somewhat sterile, but it works! We liked it.
The location was convenient for us, and the street it's on made for a charming walk after dinner.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 3822410295 Jul 2023
Came to dinner here at 8PM on a Monday night while traveling in Paris. We didn't have a reservation but got seated outside at a high top table right away once we arrived even though the place was very busy. Super cute bistro on a quiet street near the Eiffel Tower with a very nice/relaxed ambiance. Our waiter was really friendly and gave us very useful information about the daily specials. He was very patient with our broken French and even taught us a few words. For drinks, we got a small pitcher of white wine that was around 2 glasses per person that we split between two. The wine was good quality, smooth, and refreshing. For food we ordered:
Appetizer of the day: the daily special happened to be a delicious roasted eggplant with some tomato, pesto, and burrata. The eggplant was roasted perfectly, had really tender flesh and a very crispy skin. The cool, creamy burrata on top was perfect and balanced the dish well.
Cod fillet in bouillabaisse sauce: this dish was very good! Came in a hot casserole (hence why this place is called "Cocotte" as mostly all dishes come in these stone bowls), and had flaky and tender cod with vegetables (peppers, peas, potatoes) in a tomato/paprika/fish sauce.
Entree of the day: on Mondays they have a special veal stew (Axoa de veau) which my boyfriend ordered and really enjoyed. It had a tomato sauce that was very flavorful and some potatoes that also came in a hot casserole. The veal was cut in small tender pieces that were lean. The portion size was very nice. Super warm, comforting special and on Mondays it is only 20 euro!
Chocolate mousse: please order this, you will not regret it. The mousse was smooth, creamy, and light. It was topped with this homemade granola topping and some chocolate crumbles. Very nice flavor, not too sweet. One of the best mousses I have had.
Highly highly recommend this place! It was a wonderful culinary start to our stay in Paris. They had many options for main dishes and the space was really nice. Service was also super friendly and pleasant. Look forward to coming back again in another occasion to try more of their delicious dishes.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - 18951252 Dec 2023
Reservations were made in advance per the suggestion of a friend but it appeared that walk-ins were welcomed. Escargot, squid ink pasta, chicken, & pigeon were ordered; all were very delicious and fresh! The restaurant provides complimentary bread but no butter or dipping sauce so it was a bit dry. Prices were reasonable and service was great. Restrooms on site, credit cards accepted, overall vibe was casual.

All I gotta say is I loved my pigeon platter . It was cooked medium rare and it came out delicious. Tender and reminded me of a cross between beef and chicken . The fluid saucey sauce that it came with was balanced very well and it was not salty one bit. The accompanying veggies dressed it up well.
The foie gras is duck and it's in pate form . For me personally I'm not a big fan of the pate form but I did find the beauty in this form. It reminded me of melted butter if you do it right.
The scallops was minimal but def packed a punch. The scallops here was fresh and prepared fine dining. Shout out to the Chefs
I'm glad I took a dive into this place because the food was good
The reviews from prior threw me off. Yes I agree the host can do better with the seating arrangements but heck I came here for the food
Service was good and punctual. Refilled water and brought out the bread. Waiter also gave some recommendations and explained their chef dinner specials
Overall food was good as they have two managements working. One in the front and one in the kitchen making sure everything comes out as it should.
Thank you for dinnerHelpful 9Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - 14734765610 Mar 2023
One of our best meals in Paris! Wonderful, welcoming staff with excellent service. You can tell they really pride themselves on their quality of food and service, which makes all the difference.
We stopped in for a lunch and ordered the half caesar salad and sea scallops with spinach to share. Both were fantastic and so incredibly fresh. The Caesar had perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs and thinly sliced chicken in it with nice, small, flavorful croutons. The dressing was perfect and you can tell it was homemade. I love that they weren't skimpy with the dressing. Sometimes restaurants only give you a little but this salad was dressed to perfection.
Really enjoyed the small, close-nit ambiance. They offer bar seating and also high top table seating.
Wish I could pack this restaurant with me because I would definitely be a regular!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 25 Dec 2022
The restaurant is pretty close to the Eiffel Tower, about a 5 minute walk. It is a small narrow restaurant that is minimalist and modern. Half of the restaurant is bar seating and the rest looked like high tables.
The food- the best thing here is the beef stew. It has some potatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Some of the smallest brown mushrooms I have ever seen. I would have ordered two of these and skipped the rest of the food I ordered ( steak frites (tough and bland), lobster bisque (just ok and kind of fishy), Cesar salad(boring)). The meal will come with a cold baguette. If it was warm, it would have elevated the meal.
The service was very good. I had a youngish gentleman that was very helpful and pleasant. It also looked like he spoke many languages as I saw him interacting with customers.
Be warned that each person at the table needs to order a main dish or two appetizers. Also, no kids menu, so if you have a picky eater they will probably be eating fries and some free bread.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 23 Jul 2023
If you're looking for authentic French cuisine, this is the place. Known for the best Caesar salad in the area. Everything we had was delicious.

Excellent food and service. We were in area to see Eiffel at night and decided to try this spot. We made reservations. Everything was delicious. Squid ink risotto, steak, and potatoes stuffed with pig feet. All amazing. The apps we shared were the razor clams and the escargot both delicious.
Desserts the crème brûlée and chocolate pie were both also yummy.
Highly recommend if you are in the area. Price for three with no alcohol but sparkling and coffee was about $170. Very reasonable for dinner.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mahnaz B.Los Angeles, United States8922324395 Feb 2024

We came here without a reservation and they seated us immediately. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Food was delicious! Very small place with plenty of hooks to hang your bags and jacket. We sat close to the kitchen so we were able to see everything, which we loved.
