My friends flat happens to be around the corner so I walk here for a bite to eat whenever I get the chance, and I love it here. They have a great selection of wines but most of all I love the atmosphere and the people here have always been so nice and sweet.

I like to walk down this street to grab flowers and fresh baked breads and  I always stop by here to grab a quick bite before walking back home.

FYI, the lunch menu here is actually very affordable for London prices that is...

Very good local Greek.  We went as a group and tried most dishes, not a bad one to be had!

Great Greek restaurant, certainly one of the best in London - the mezze is fantastic and more food thean you'll ever eat, quality great. Prices a little high but the fact that it's always packed (and it's huge!)shows that it's probably worth it

Great ambiance.  Perfect for bigger groups.  The staff is really friendly and the food is wonderful.  The mezze 3 course dinner is a great value - but beware the last course is a whole lotta meat!

This is THE place to eat in Primrose Hill.

Great quality fresh food at reasonable prices makes a change from all the snobby cafes on Regents Park Road. Actually, I think the evening menu can be a bit pricey but the £9 lunch menu is an absolute bargain!

This place is big with outside eating, a conservatory and upstairs as well as the main room but the service is fast wherever you sit. It's always busy too even on a quiet rainy afternoon - do these people not have jobs?!

And, it's good for a bit of celeb spotting. We've seen The Darkness, Lily Allen, Lisa Tarbuck and Woody Allen all tucking in here.

I have wanted to dine at Lemonia for quite some time and finally got my opportunity late last night. This very popular Primrose Hill, Greek restaurant was as vibrant as ever. On being seated my lady and I were transported into what I can only describe as a stunning garden type restaurant. There were huge hanging baskets spilling over with dark green foliage, and although I have never been to Greece, I couldn't help but feel transported there. Every server was a character straight out of Grumpy Old Men. This really added something to the atmosphere. Being served by Old Greek men leads to a different vibe than if being served by a giggly 18yr old girl.

There was only one choice for the food. We had the £18.50 per head Mezze. Every dish was fresh tasting and decidedly yummy. The hummus we had was potentially the best I have ever eaten. Our three courses were served with precise timing and we were full to bursting by the end of the meal.

I would definitely dine here again, and the quality of Lemonia comes out in it's atmosphere and food. It is certainly a cut above its little sister Limani.

This place is an institution for our family birthdays, as it is one of the few places Dialysis Granddad (TM) can eat, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this already.

The last visit was for aforementioned Papa Lou's 92nd.  The staff are great, with an excellent sense of humour. One of the Cypriot waiters has worked at the restaurant for around 30 years, He gleefully informed grandpa that when you get to 100 you can get a free dinner. Never mind the telegram from Queenie, this is something for all of us to look forward to.

They did unfortunately put the prices up a few years back making this place a bit more expensive, but it doesn't seem to hamper them one bit and it is consistently worth it. I am a sucker for anything charcoal grilled so the chicken shish is a favourite as is the haloumi. I recently tried the swordfish which was O M G good.

Don't forget to order the rice pudding too. I guess birthday candles don't stand up very well in it, so they rather sweetly slash hilariously put one in a single square of Turkish delight for grandpa to blow out.

This restaurant is packed out even midweek - we came here on a Wednesday and it was incredibly lively and busy.  Worth booking ahead to guarantee a table,

As I was sitting at the Spread Eagle just outside Camden market reading my Zaget guide a few locals were curious to see what our next step was.  There were a few Zaget hot spots in the area but Lemonia was the winner for the locals.  Although it was a bit of a walk from where we were it was well worth it!

The atmosphere was wonderful and charming.  We felt as though we were sitting in a court yard in the middle of Greece.  The menu was huge and we were not sure what to pick so we ended up getting one of the combination meals.  We were able to have a taste of everything.  The food was extremely fresh and the wine was very enjoyable. The waiters were full of smiles and the service made you feel at home. I wish I had found this earlier on in my trip so I could have had just one more night at Lemonia.  Well worth the trip and well worth the treasure hunt to find you! I can't wait to come visit you again.

I love Lemonia with such a strong passion that I try to take all my friends and relatives at least once when they come and visit me in London. I used to live just round the corner and became quite a regular, and now that I live in the opposite end of town, I still make regular excursions to get my fill of calamari and taramosalata.

It is such a friendly, lively and casual restaurant. Full of families, couples and locals, Lemonia has a regular and loyal clientele due to its excellent service and consistently good food, that is well-priced.

I have worked my way steadily through the menu and have now perfected my menu selection- hummous, taramosalata, pitta, spanakopita, calamari, sausage, chicken shashlik and rice. Perfect.

One of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been. Really traditional and serves great food. Can get quite busy, so beware before making sure you have a booking.

Great, fresh, and tasty food in Primrose village.  Right when you sit down, you are given a plate of olives and veggies to munch on whilst you browse the many choices on the menu.  They have several vegetarian options.  Last week, I ended up ordering the set lunch for 10.50 with starter, main, and dessert or coffee.  I had hummus, stuffed vegetables, and a cappucino and everything was FANTASTIC!  I literally cleaned my plate which never happens.  I forget what hubby had cuz I was too busy eating.   I suggest going early for lunch as the place fills up quickly.  Then walk over to Marine Ices near Chalk Farm station for a gelato.

A great place to get fresh, authentic Greek food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is large and bustling and they do a great lunch menu where you can get a starter and main for cheap. It's still surprisingly good value in the evening too, considering the smart location, although Primrose Hill has remained surprisingly true to its bohemian roots. Speaking of which, this is a popular restaurant with the Primrose Hill set so it's not unusual to see the likes of Sadie Frost et al in here. However, the biggest draw has to be the promise after a long(ish) walk up Primrose Hill, of a slap up Greek meal.

Excellent value (and there are not a lot to choose from in London).    Great introduction to Greek cuisine.   We had lots of little dishes and could barely finish it all.   Be prepared for a long meal.  Relax and savor the many flavors.   Good, friendly service.

Lemonia feels Greek - masses of people at tables, lots of drinking, lots of eating, lots of plates, lots of green (plants), lots of Greek waiters.  All that's really missing is the sun... and cheaper prices.

I love it here and as I don't live in Primrose Hill, I don't get to Lemonia as often as I'd like.  I don't even think it's the best Greek food ever, but it's some of the best I've had in London.  The tabbouleh is perfect if you love parsley, the haloumi comes in reasonable delectable portions, the octopus happily tastes like octopus and the fried calamari is exactly how it should be (for me): no batter, just slightly crispy on the edges.  Almost everything comes with a wedge of lemon.

On the slightly negative side, I found my last dish of chargrilled spring chicken more char than chicken.  I also don't like having to continually ask for baskets of pita bread, but then again, 2 per person is probably nutritionally sufficient.
