Oh my goodness. This is food like I've not tasted in a long time. It is absolutely delicious.

To start I had the pea and vegetable soup and it was just perfect. There was a tiny hint of warmth (spice-wise) and that was lovely. It was light too so I didn't feel too stodgy for my main.

For that I had tarte tatin (small moan I guess because this was the only option for me on this menu) which was to-die-for.

Lovely. Absolutely lovely.

If you like French food you will love this, that is if you are lucky enough to be able to afford it. Maybe £35 for a three course meal doesn't sound too bad but with wine it does add up quickly. I've only been once although I would love to away if anyone wants to take me for dinner?!

My slight problem with Le Gallois is entirely my own problem, I'm quite a picky eater so there is pretty much always something in each dish I don't like! But everything I like is pretty much amazing with such well balanced flavours.

Service is of course what you'd expect to get for that money, and its a really lovely place!
