La Perla is possibly one the most charming, quaintest Italian restaurants I have ever visited. The restaurant is so intimate, you'd be forgiven for feeling you are sat in someone's living room, but this just adds to this bijou eatery's uniqueness.
The food is faultless and plentiful and the staff are polite and charismatic it's also worth noting that they serve possibly the best Garlic Bread in the world.
Ensure you book well in advance as La Perla is extremely popular although the staff are very accommodating, don't expect a walk-in table to be available at peak times.
Great food, attentive service, reasonable prices and good portions... what more could you ask for?
I have only heard good things about this restaurant and upon finally visiting it was pleased to discover that none of them were wrong!
I will be becoming a regular customer at this wonderful little (emphasis on little!) place and suggest you try it also.http://www.la-perla-hull.co.uk/
Nic e quite little genuine Italian restaurant at the bottom of Newland Avenue. Rustic brick walls, great food, nice welcoming owner.
I recommend this place (and I own my own restaurant!)
Does a good range of Italian wines too
This has got to be the pearl of Newland Avenue, Good Italian food, you won't be disapointed. I would recommend booking because its only small but always full.
A tiny but enchanting local italian restaurant where you are always made to feel welcome. The menu doesnt often change but it doesnt need to because what they produce is of the highest standard and you have to force yourself to try something new as your last meal there was so good! The owner is very genuine and makes an effort to get to know his customers - after a few visits he knew our names and always makes an effort to fit us in even when busy.
A proper neighbourhood Italian offering a warm welcome.
The menus is good and well delivered and always supplemented by a specials board that is strong on fresh fish.
This place is at the opposite end of the spectrum to chains like Ask, - virtually zero kerb appeal but offering good food cooked from scratch. The interior is much more atmospheric than the exterior leads you to expect.
It is open on Sundays and Mondays which is handy to know.
