With a beautiful location overlooking the water, which was once a boathouse, La Barca is the perfect place to sit in the sunshine, enjoy a glass of wine, a few tapas, and chat with friends.
The staff are absolutely lovely, friendly, knowledgable, smiling and really quite humorous. The chefs walk around and assure that their meals are to your liking (+1). The owner will talk to guests and chat for a while. And the food was impeccable.
The fish was out of this world, the lamb was succulent and cooked to perfection, and out of the selection of tapas ordered at our table neither the party I was with nor myself could find fault in anything. I was told the bread rolls are made on location (again +1) and the ham and olives had me temped to start pushing them into my pockets.
A really lovely place for a date or a fun night out. I highly recommend and will be visiting many times over.
(A little tid-bit... when paying your bill you will be given the most divine chocolate covered/filled fig. I would have ordered an entire bowl of them if I could!)
Ok location but hugely over priced. They serve Parma ham claiming (and charging) that it is Iberico.
You can get a better table by the river down the road at the angel.
