    & super friendly staff!
You can order and they're ready in a few minutes, fresh sangria and pan con tomate for each table.

Huge place, recommended for families, large groups and you can walk to the beach in 5 min from there.

Four people, all four with diarrhea.
    Never go there.
    Shit place.
Large restaurant, too fast service, may be most of things are just prepared and badly stored.

We arrived here early for lunch.  Good thing because it became very crowded very quickly.

Originally we set out for a walk along the ocean and I told my wife I'd like some seafood.  When we walked by La Barca and I read there menu, it took me about 10 seconds to decide I wanted their Imperial Special for two.

The place was already buzzing as we were ushered to our table.  Started off with a nice Alsacian beer, AK Damm, olives, and tomato bread.

The waiter asked if we'd like any mayo, garlic spread, etc for our seafood.  I told him I wasn't sure, so he brought us all 3.  Note: loved the garlic spread and the other tomato vinegar like spread.

So then the imperial platter arrived.  I do not joke when I say it was enormous!  The platter ran the length of our table and was piled high with muscles, clams, razor clams, lobster, shrimp, prawns, and langoustines. Now that's how you get your seafood fix!

Yes it was pricy at €96 for the two of us, but worth every penny.  We couldn't even finish it.

And when they brought the check, they also brought us complimentary grappa and cakes.  Simply wonderful!  This will always be a mandatory stop for us.

It is near impossible to describe the experience I had at the restaurant, and a even harder to describe the look of terror on face of the gentleman who had to clean the toilet I used after eating the seafood paella at La Barca Del Salmonella.

I ordered the menu of the day, expecting like most restaurants, a nicely valued set menu, assuming the food would be prepared the same for me as for the a la carte menu. Instead, I received a plate of paella that wasn't even prepared in this decade let alone the hour before I ordered. It came instantly which should have been my first clue. The prawns on the dish had the texture of newspaper blended with cottage cheese, and the taste of a back-alley rent-a-vag in a 1700's Singapore brothel. True seafood should not taste like a whale's taint, and when the entire dish including the rice tastes like that it's completely unpalatable.

Pro tip: when the large dish you ordered comes on a warm plate in 20 seconds and is the colour of your pack-a-day grandmother's century old "white" couch, you might as well ask the waiter for the heatlamp it was under so you can pre-cauterise your anus, and disinfect it with a squeeze of the day-old lemon on the plate. In fact I wish I had done only that, because the fiery liquid feces that were forcefully jettisoned from my backside gave me the distinct impression that a million tiny gnomes were using rusty ice-skates to traverse the cursed, unholy folds of my rectum.

This restaurant made me wish I had prostate cancer because there would be a legitimate reason for the colostomy bag I'm shocked wasn't included in my meal.

I look forward to the management response to this review, I have so much more to say.

Thanks to La Barca Del Salmonella, my anus is haunted

Thanks to La Barca Del Salmonella I could barely sleep because I was choking to death on the miasma of my own toxic farts, playing chicken with my digestive tract, hoping each flatulent firestorm wasn't going to result in my bedsheets becoming my diaper.

But at least the Cerveza was good.

Outstanding! The servers were so kind and helpful. We were there for our 21st anniversary, and they kept bringing us free desserts and liquors to celebrate. The seafood was never-ending and oh, so delicious. Honestly, it was an amazing evening!

Food is just average but the upsell is brilliant. Beware of the "erroneous" bread charge (first line of your bill) and check the prices if sharing. We went for the 50 euro special that could feed 4 to 5 adults after getting several tapas plates and were charged 75 for sharing (x1.5). The special multi course price fixe lunch menu was never mentioned. Skip this place.

We came to this restaurant by a recommendation.
It was my first night in Barcelona and I wanted to start my vacation with some great seafood.
Just to give you an idea of how much we loved the place, we came in at around 6:30pm and left around midnight. Yes, it is not a typo,we spend there five and a half to six hours, and we loved every minute of it.
This is what our dinner consisted of:
    - grilled bread with some tomatoes and olive oil
    - deep fried mix of seafood: fish, shrimp, langoustines, calamari
    Main dish:
    - whole orada fish, baked in salt
    - special mariscos paella, with lobster, razor clams, clams, mussels.
    - two pitchers of sangria

Everything we tried was more than amazing. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection.

    Service was outstanding!

To top it up, our server Antonio got us some desert  and two bottles of coffee liquor, Licor Hierbas Olave, on the house.

Unbelievable dining experience! We are coming back here again by the end of my vacation.

if you're a seafood lover, as i am, then you need to get your posterior to this place with the quickness.  i have never seen fresh oysters so large in my entire life.  everything was super fresh and very delicious and the wait staff was pretty awesome.

we had shrimp, ysters, clams, chorizo, manchego, sardines, anchovies, calamari... the whole shabang-a-bang.

if you're in the hood it would be well worth your time to eat here.  also, they have some of the most delicious desserts, in particular, the torta de santiago was the most delicious i've ever had.

Very nice restaurant, famous for it's fish but also if you order meat. Incredible fast service, friendly but you should know what you want and have a strong mind  if you don't the waiters will fool you and talk you into most expensive stuff. Had a local guy with me, so that's been avoided and food was as good. Will go there again  with locals or with a list what to order and what not to.
