L'Ecole has some of best food in the region and the ambiance is superb! Sadrine, Thomas, and Francis could not be more hospitable and what they have going is something very special. This is a must stop for dinner or drinks. Everything about this place is fantastic!

Had a lovely dinner at L'ecole for New Year's Eve - our second time visiting. The ambiance is casual and the food rustic-French, but it is the care and love that Genevieve puts in to the service and the meal that really make it special. She pretty much runs the place by herself - cooking, serving, and visiting with guests, so don't expect American-style in-and-out. However, if you want an authentic French dining experience in the Northern Dordogne, you should check it out. Genevieve speaks enough English to share the details of the meal, from the origin of the wine to how she prepares the delicious foie gras. There is also a pretty patio for outside dining when the weather permits.
