I'm used to buying doughnuts from, ahem, lesser outlets. The first time I tasted a doughnut from Krispy Kreme. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Seriously. Theirs are by far and away the best I've ever tasted. And I've tasted doughnuts from just about every major outlet in London.
I also really like Krispy Kreme's deals: You can buy a tin of six or a box of 12 and choose each one individually. Or if you want to keep it simple, you can buy a box of 12 pre-selected flavours (various or 12 plain). The plain doughnuts are almost as tasty as the strawberry glazed, chocolate ones etc. My personal favourite is the strawberry glazed but they have many to choose from. They have a fair few variations on chocolate, from chocolate with pieces of chopped chocolate ontop to chocolate with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top, plus a few other flavours I can't remember.
These will most likely be popular with your co-workers; I remember I bough a box of six for a lady in my office (we're a very small team) and they went down a storm.
Only downside are their prices. But if you only buy them in bulk as an occasional treat, it shouldn't work out too expensive. I've also been told they are quite fattening (as doughnuts tend to be), but having a fast metabolism and fortunate genes, I don't worry too much about that!
If you like doughnuts, go here. You will not find better anywhere else.
OMG Krispy Kreme..and I thought my only reason for going back to London was a date with the V&A!!!
I first found Krispy Kreme in Chicago and knew that I had discovered the best doughnuts known to man.(Prior to that it had been a hot doughnut ring cooked in a vat of oil at a market in Carmaux,France and then doused in freshly squeezed orange juice and sugar as a child).
As a card carrying chocaholic this truly is heavenly, more calories - remember it is simply a greek word that means energy - than you could force in to Fern Cotton and more flavours than Willy Wonka could dream of.
It's no use I shall simply have to start getting trains in to major London Termini just for the Krispy Kremes!!!
This place was really quite a find, a lucky one: chocolate dreamcake, original glazed, OH MY GOD!
Love at first bite!!!
I love crispy creme, but unless you buy a dozen they are too expensive. One donut can cost up to £1.50
We used to have them in the office and what i do is stick them in the microwave for a few seconds. It is like an explosion and leave my taste buds tingling for hours.
it is true that these donuts are morish and i do not like to share them!!!!
There are shops around London and some of the tescos stores in central London store them
These donuts are made for the king of kings and I have never had a better donut!
Deliciously sickly (i can only eat one at a time) donuts although quite expensive well worth it. Unfortunately they only seem available at trains stations though, oh and Selfridges too but seem to be getting ever so more popular. Hundreds times better then Dunkin donuts and a million then supermarkets ones.
Recently had a chocolate promotion which a heartily recommend. PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING .avoid these donuts if your on a diet as they probably the most fattening thing that will ever cross your lips. But saying that they do do packs of dozen or 2 dozens if you want to take them into the office or a party.
Krispy Kreme donuts is an American phenomenon of fresh-baked donuts with a HUGE variety of flavours. They are also the only place in the UK I can find what's called cake donuts, which are thicker and denser than regular donuts and usually covered in an opaque sugar-y glaze (Krispy Kreme sells chocolate cake donuts & plain cake donuts, but in the USA you can get all sorts of flavours like blueberry or apple flavoured).
A plain KK donut is rather boring and extremely sugary - it's the flavoured ones that really sell the business. Ranging from ooey gooey chocolate-y heaven to fruity gourmet jam donuts, KK has tapped into the commuter coffee and pastry crowd with a kick. The outlet at Victoria is perfectly placed to offer that morning (or afternoon or evening!) caffeine and sugar kick.
Located in-between 2 platforms, so it can be hard to spot. If you've gotten to the escalator/mall part of Victoria, you've gone too far.
Woo hoo ! I love Krispy Kreme and as they are not available in my town, as soon as I arrive at Victoria station, I make a beeline for this stall :)
Range of different flavours including chocolate fudge cake and lemon meringue pie, these donuts are unlike any others. They are soft and sweet and dreamy! Quite expensive at around £1.20 but SO worth it.
These Krispy Kreme doughnuts are very tasty but i can only ever eat one because they are very sweet and rich. I think i prefer the plain one because you can really taste the doughnuts without the even sweeter sugary icing topping.
I wish they had these stalls in more places than just railway sttions although i have noticed they sell them in some Tesco stores which is great - i think it's mainly the bigger superstores but i could be wrong.
Mmm i'm getting hungry now!
There are Krispy Kreme's all over the place - especially at train stations! The doughnuts are undoubtedly gorgeous and the staff are usually friendly and helpfulbut unless you buy a box of doughnuts (when the price of each single doughnut is quite reasonable), the price you pay for a single doughnut (something like £1.30) is slightly ridiculous!
It just depends whether you can afford to spend £1.30 on one doughnut, when you can get 6 in somewhere like Sainsburys for 50p! They're much nicer at Krispy Kreme of course!
This Krispy Kreme Kart is only small, but it has all the flavours of donuts that we have grown to love. My personal favourite is still the original glazed. The good thing about Krispy Kreme is that they accept Visa PayWave, which is the contactless payment system so you can just rock up, pick your donuts, tap your card (just like Oyster card) and go. TIP: heat the donut in a microwave for 7 seconds for that heavenly melt-in-your-mouth taste.
Lovely place with lots of choices in terms of donuts and coffee drinks. I don't like hanging around too long in cafes so the place is perfect for me I just get a cup and continue on my way.
YUM! Just finished off two. If you have a sweet tooth (or a mouth full of sweet teeth) you will never be the same after having had a Krispy Kreme Doughnut. The best ones in my opinion are the original recipe with glaze. Makes me proud to be American!
Glazied DoughnutsYUM !
Very convenient the few times I have been on the go with no time to stop for too long to eat as there seems to be very fast people serving. Still just a Krispy Kreme but ninely convienent.
i don't care that each bite contains hunreds of calories...
neither do i care if they are made with good or bad fats......
or that they cost the earth....i love them.....love them i tell's ya.......
Go buy their doughnuts.. you will never want to eat generic ones again. 12 for £8 you can't go wrong.
oh my god if i could buy one of these EVERY day i would... seriously YUMMY!
they even do fabulous seasonal ones too!!! i had one at Halloween!!! very cool and of course yum too!
While it goes against my principle of avoiding brand food, I got a soft one for Krispy Kreme, once in a while indulging us with a box that will last a couple days. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot, and you may well be licking your fingers to get that last drop of icy sugar of you! enjoy.
These dougnuts are mouth-watering,they are simply irresistible. I love the fact that they are in all the big stations in london so if you have missed a train and you are really annoyed and feel like life cannot go on(like me) then just grab a Krispy Kreme doughnut and all you stresses are somehow gone. They litrally do every topping you can think of however i just like the plain one as they really are scrumptious! Have one its certainlly worth missing your train for!
Cant beat a great donute from here. Especially at this great station.
My favourite is the plain glazed donut, gorgeous, not for the fainthearted or if you are on a diet, but well worth it.
Either I'm going through some mad phase or im actually going off krispy kremes. I cant help but find them sickly. I used to be their biggest fan and bought a huge box atleast once a week, I love the freshness and sweetness and yumminess and nowadays i cant seem to get through a full donut!
I don't usually eat doughnuts, but the Krispy Kreme ones are to die for. They're really sweet, obviously, but once in a while I like to get one, they're just delicious.
mmm mmm & mmm. These are the best doughnuts around. If you are visiting you have to try at least one of them. I personally love the Raspberry Royales but anything chocolate goes well too. There aren't enough of them around for my liking, prob a good thing otherwise i'd get fat!! lol. So, go on enjoy a Krispy Kreme experience x
After a hard day at work, a Krispy Kreme makes it all worthwhile. Yes it is calorie laden but at 6pm on the busy commuter belt when your train is delayed, it can save you from a mental breakdown (at least that's what I tell myself and I'm sticking to it!). The staff are friendly and fast, so maybe a quick one before work?!
I don't really like Krispy Kreme doughnuts, they're like a horrible sugar fix, but I eat them. I eat them when a box appears from some "thoughtful" person at work, and I eat them from this place at Victoria Station when I've had a few and my self control is low. Ah well.
There I have tried one of the best doughnuts. They are so tasty, I really like them. I can't wait to try every different flavor. But some of my favorites are the Chocolate sprinkles and the Chocolate dream cake. The price is good, so do not hesitate to try them.
These donuts contain 100% vegetable oil shortening (partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil). The "Glazed Cruller" is a whopping 471 calories for just 4-5 bites.
Don't get me wrong, I love a treat now and then, but these should come with a health warning!
I have tried one and personally found them to be just too sweet. Eat these on a regular basis and you'll have to hit the gym, big time!
Pricey but absolutely scrumptious donuts! Well recommended. A double dozen deal (one box original glazed and one box mixed toppings/ fillings) is actually quite worth it as it would only cost roughly 60p per donut. Superb for sharing!
How I wish there was a Krispy Kreme's closer to my house.! Without doubt the best donuts around - the original iced ring can't be beaten, although the newer chocolate fudge cake one can give it a run for it's money. Delicious!
i was once a krispy kreme addict I had a friend who worked there and he would buy me upto three boxes every week and i would get through all of them. But recently i cant help but find they are rather sickly (maybe im just going through a phase?) Maybe I have had more than my body can handle?.... They are actually quite expensive too And VERY sweet manybe too sweet?
wow, really loved it, nice and clean, plus fresh american style doughnuts. quite expensive but well worth it. try their coffee too!
cappacino lovers, its a place for you! take extra money because once you've missed your train, youll allways feel like a second doughnut!
one word - yummy......
Really really nice. The doughnuts here a some of the best i've tried. This is a great location, just before you catch the train you can grab a coffee and a doughnut ( or two). The coffee sold is very nice, the coffee is pretty nice to, better than starbucks, where the coffee is far too hot to taste anything. A great place for your commute.
the doughnuts that they sell are abit pricey but well worth as it as they are freshly baked and delightfully tasty.. they do all sorts of doughnuts with various toppngs to ur liking but the plain ones are the best i think and there the cheapest.. well worth it..!
krispy kreme doughnuts are good but could have more sugar and could taste fresher, but definetely better than the 12 for £1 doughnuts at sainsbury
