And the winner for the most pointless and useless park in the city goes to...Kendor Gardens.
Ok - so there really is a point to it and it is used by dog walkers, kids to learn bikes and smoke a joint in the bushes. This park has no ameanities. No swings, no play area, no football pitches, only a few benches, a platform where shelter from the rain in the form of a bandstand was and there is no car parking either. Not that anyone would drive here it is so crap.
So why does it exist, well, when building the Northern Line on the London Underground they hit hard rock and ran out of money so they before the height of the tunnel underground up so that it cost less to excativate and they could make the line end at Morden. This means that the park has trains running underneath so shallow that you can feel the vibrations and this is why no homes where built on this land. Still a silly pointless park though...
