4 reviews for Jurys Inn
I just recently caught an episode of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations in which he goes on a "Bullets & Bombs" tour (or something like that) and they pass by the very housing estate I wrote about in my original review (fast forward to 2:35):

Initially, I had booked our room at The Hotel Europa, which made Mr. Unicorn man freak out--"You DID… Read more »
I stayed here last January when I did a short surprise trip to see my loved one. The rooms were a pretty good size and clean. It wasn't a closet like most hotel rooms you see throughout Europe.
The staff and service is meh. They didn't seem happy to be there but they were marginally friendly and polite. Although they did try to kick us out the room while we were sleeping and a "do not disturb" sign hanging outside the door. They knock and knocked and knocked for what was like forever. They disturbed us with phonecalls asking if housekeeping could get in there and clean the room.
Uh...our checkout was tomorrow. What's the rush?
The hotel is in a convenient location and about 5 minutes walking distance tto the city centre. There's restaurant downstairs and a bar. FYI...The person who worked behind the bar didn't know what a white russian was. So if you want to go for a drink, go elsewhere. And their breakfast buffet was ridiculously EXPENSIVE!
Clean, modern, less than a block to the train/bus station. It's about two blocks from city hall and the TI. The breakfast bar is pretty good, though they dry out their black pudding. I tried black pudding at another hotel and it was actually ok when moist. Good accomodations, though not nearly as homey as a B&B. The landmark Crown Bar is just down and across the street.
the jurys inn is really similiar to a hilton
its clean and safe and well boring
we stayed here for one night when everything was booked
the location is OK but we still ended up taking cabs to the pubs
we got an alright deal (80 us dollars) but most of the time its much more than that
fine to have a quick magners before heading out
