As bespoke outfitters, Jonathan Quearney offers a full range of garments, from shirts to traditional English morning dress for weddings, from casual trousers for the weekend to classic tuxedos for the Oscars and BAFTA events. As for the shirts, Mr Quearney will use only the finest Swiss cottons or Sea Island cottons from Super 100s up to Super 200s quality and for other garments Mr Quearney will have the appropriate cloth merchant to suit every personal taste, ranging from textured Harris and Donegal Tweeds to luxurious super-fine tropical wools, cashmere or silks, in every colour and pattern under the sun. Swiss cotton is renowned for its high quality; not just for the exceptionally fine thread counts, but also for using extra long staple Egyptian cotton fibres which makes their cottons finer and more durable than other cottons. The majority of Mr Quearney's cloths in his bespoke store are manufactured in the North of England, where the softness of the water gives the cloth a beautifully soft handle without compromising the quality and longevity of the cloth. Mr Quearney and his team also source the bolts of cloth from all around the world which are held in stock and are chosen based on their individuality and rarity in today's cloth industry. If you cannot find what you are looking for, Mr Quearney can also source cloths upon your request. The tailoring of Jonathan Quearney is made in a soft style reminiscent of Anderson & Sheppard. His suits are natural, hand constructed look gives a more smart casual and elegant appearance than the standard bespoke and also his suits are very comfortable to wear. Mr Quearney's strength in the bespoke trade is communicating with his customers and translating their personal taste into pieces of exceptional quality through a true understanding of his craftsmanship. Whether you are a newcomer to the world of Savile Row bespoke tailoring or an old hand, Mr Quearney will use his Savile Row expertise to make you your perfect garment. They have also found that their customers are getting more discerning and are demanding the same bespoke standard of their casual wear. Mr Quearney's approach marries the strong foundation of traditional Savile Row tailoring with a modern and sophisticated approach to outfitting men. It is this refined eye for tailoring and quality coupled with a fresh perspective on men's outfitting and bespoke tailoring which makes Mr Quearney, and the service he provides, truly unique. Mr Quearney was a junior tailor in Savile Row during the 1990's. But as of recently, I've contacted Mr Quearney on the telephone, and to my surprise he was not at all helpful. He actually put the phone down.
That is bad business practice as I'm concerned. So the following the week, I made a few inquiries to my business retail contacts, and they 'personally' would not recommend Jonathan Quearney as a Savile Row Bespoke tailor. As a result, I blew my expense on Richard Anderson at 13 Savile Row,
I'd rather have Mr Anderson as a friend than Mr Quearney.
