A cozy place in the 7th arrondissement, at T-section of rue St Dominique and rue Malar.
A great place for sit-down breakfast, or any time you feel like having the best pain au chocolat in Paris -- intensely buttery yet so flaky and airy, with just the right amount of chocolate in the centre.
The have macarons too, a little on the sweet side compared to Pierre Herme's or even Laduree's.
Croissant amandes (Almond Croissant) is really good - they make the kind that is more flat and doughy than a regular croissant, with almond paste and sprinkled slivers on top, and the whole thing soaked or glazed in a thin layer of something. If you prefer the flaky fluff almond-in-the-middle version, be warned.
Other stuff looked really good too (tortes, palmiers, beignets, ...). Next time.
Above average boulangerie with good pastries too. Prices are above average too. Whatever the case, while you won't be disappointed by the offerings, you can do better at nelly julien or Paris 7
