this was my last meal in the London area, and i had such a good time!

my only prereq was Indian so my friends picked this place over the ethnic food districts because it was a nice sit down restaurant. the place is really adorable and not what you expect from a typical Indian restaurant. i'm not a decor snob, but every now and then it's nice to go to a good ethnic restaurant without getting your elbows stuck on plastic table covers all night.

from the outside, it looks like an English cottage. once indoors, the decor is modern upscale yet warm and inviting. i especially liked the bathrooms (hehe). the owner and servers were very accomodating and gracious. since the courses are enjoyed family style, the owner picked out several dishes for us according to our party's spice tolerance/preferences and explained how some of their dishes differed in preparation. it was just so good! the owner also gets a plus in my book for saying 'yummy? yummy in your tummy?' haha.

the bill surprisingly was very modest for the number of courses and quality of each dish. this place is seriously a hidden gem.
