Best meal I had in Germany  This is a no frills place so place your order at the counter, find a seat, and wait till you are served.  The spaetzle was AMAZING. Full of flavor and you could tell the noodles were homemade and fresh.

At this time of year the speciality was white asparagus aka "spargel".  If you don't see it on the menu get the wiener schnitzel (fried pork cutlet) and the spaetzle (german mac and cheese).

Note: You won't find an english menu.  The menu is on the counter and the specials are on the board.  I wouldn't call this a tourist friendly place so arrive prepared.

Visited Imbiss because I'd been craving some spaetzle.

It's a tiny little place, seats about 16 people (tightly) inside.  We were prepared to be a little lost and confused as other reviews had stated there isn't an english menu.  We didn't have a problem, but we also were a little willing to roll the dice.  Ordered the spaetzle and the schnitzel (large).  The portions here are HUGE!  We could have shared one of the dishes they were soooo big.

The spaetzle was deliciously cheesey with tomato, chives.  You can watch them make it behind the counter.

The pork schnitzel was great, perfectly crispy, and it was served with a cranberry sauce - unexpected but delicious.

Pretty reasonably priced as well. Order at the counter, sit down, and then pay at the counter at the end.

This place is a hidden gem. I live within 50 yards of it, and pass by it at least twice a day, and barely paid it any attention. A long-overdue visit yielded one of the best German meals I've had since I got here. My sauerbraten was amazing, the meat delicate and in a rich, decadent gravy. My meal came accompanied with a pumpkin hash (delicious) and the most amazing little pillowy pieces of herbed potato... their cooking method a mystery. My dinner companions had the cheese spaetzle and the fish (trout?) on a bed of parsley risotto. Portion sizes were immense, and the prices were cheap, even for Berlin standards. I plan on visiting this place as often as my waistline allows.

We came upon this place after trying to find sushi and the best one in the area was booked. We decided to get German food and found the listing for this place and it did not disappoint.

The special goat cheese beet and green salad was absolutely delicious, the spaetzle made my vegetarian niece delirious and the meatball special was delicious. And classic Wiener schnitzel too.

The self-service beer made it easy to enjoy the meal and all for less than €50 for three of us!

I'm impressed.  I'm from San Francisco in Berlin for the first time visiting friends.  I saw Aurelou's review and went outside to check this place out.  He was dead on.  It doesn't look like much but the food is some of the best quality for the price I've had in my two weeks in Europe.

very very delicious for a meal no more than 10 euros. we were satisfied with all three dishes we had there,
especially the cucumber-sauce-potato that came with the juicy schnitzel.

Great food and welcoming atmosphere. They really know about good German food here and god damn it's tasty and also quite cheap.

This place truly is a diamond in the rough. It's tucked away in plain sight on a busy street with no special signs to draw people in, save the hint of savory food that wafts out whenever the door opens. I had the "Three meatball" dish that is served with three meatballs, and sides of string beans and potatoes. The dish was filling beyond my capability and only for 7 euros! I will come back here once a week if it wasn't across the city in Prenzlauer Berg.

Großartige deutsche Küche!!! Unbedingt zu empfehlen, würde am liebsten jeden Tag dort essen. Es gibt eine permanente Karte u. A. mit Boulette, Salat, Schnitzel. Daneben dann jeden Tag verschiedene Gerichte, alles zu guten Preisen. Tolle Kombi aus Imbissstil ( wenige Metalltische, offene Küche, Getränkeselbstbedienung) und gehobener Kochkunst!
