this store has everything that normal HMV stock, they have some great deals but can also be dearer then some other stores so worth checking out. This store even though its fairly big the aisles are not so saturday visit to this store I would avoid and christmas get the person a gift voucher instead as its mad in their at christmas. Staff are friendly and helpful and will look on the computer to see if your item is in stock or if not what store near by has it in stock for you..
Students also get a discount if they produce their nus card..
Sells almost every CD you can dream of, DVDs and a few accessories.
To be honest, I only go in here when a certain friend drags me in. It's always extremely full and the music is very loud. Once, a very tall man climbed over me, as I was examining the lower shelf!
They do a lot of two for £10, and my friend and I usually go divvies on these deals if we both find something.
The staff are friendly enough but a few of the customers are not!
Poole's HMV is a carbon copy of any other branch of the chain in the country, selling every CD, DVD, Vinyl and game imaginable. The one thing I like about HMV is its layout it is reasonable easy to locate any required purchase due to the genres and alphabetizing which is current throughout the store. I am also a fan of the offers which seem to be on at different times of the year such as 3 DVDs for 15 pound or the good old buy one get one free.
On a more miserable note Christmas time is when HMV becomes shopping hell I have seen queues for the checkouts stretch the length of the shop and more and then it makes it hard even to browse.
Overall this is a good shop housing plenty of variety and choices, always something for everyone.
