I'm not sure that the negative reviews are justified.
Is this a modern HIlton property? No. However, I think people need to set proper expectations before complaining about older tile in the bathrooms.
- The property grounds are very attractively maintained.
- The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful.
- The rooms offer fast and reliable Wi-Fi (no difference compared to "modern" Hilton properties.)
- The restaurant options are on par with other Hilton properties.
- There is plenty of public transit access to wherever you need to go.
- The fitness center is adequate.
- The outdoor running trail is unique and peaceful.
This Hilton property is perfectly fine for standard business travelers or any Hilton Honors members looking to keep racking up points.
For those who demand ergonomic chairs, the latest in tiling or drapery, or expect this to be a resort of any kind, I suggest resetting expectations.
Would stay here again.
This Hilton is just ok. It is very dated, and lacks the amenities and sizzle modern Hilton properties often have.
My biggest complaint are with the towels-- they are paper thin. You are lucky to get two flimsy and small bath towels. Yikes.
The hotel has no gift shop, no coffee shop, and is somewhat secluded.
The hotel staff however are wonderful! From reception to the restaurant servers for morning breakfast everyone was quite helpful.
This is a "wanna-be" Hilton.
The one overnight at this hotel was a birthday present I received from my friend. The location was good and the view into the park was also pleasant. I have slept in Hilton hotel before but this one did not stand up to its name. The lobby was ok, little dark and "dormant" the rooms were average. In the bathroom some tiles on the floor were cracked and outdated, the sink was cracked, and some mold had started to appear on the ceiling above the shower. The towels where not pleasant at all, something close to sandpaper. On the other hand the soap, shampoo ect., were very nice; a completely different standard than the towels they used. In the bedroom one nightstand was missing. We were appreciative because it was a birthday present but disappointed because we expected higher standards from a Hilton.
