The rooms are quite large for European standards and very comfortable with modern bathrooms and excellent toilette's. The staff, as expected, was very attentive and professional. The property is relatively close to Old Town (Altstadt), Messe Düsseldorf and the airport. The Executive lounge courtesy of my Diamond status was larger than most.
The complementary room-to-room water service was a nice touch.
Looking forward to come back for leisure purpose!
Efficient. Quick. Centrally located. Great biz hotel in heart of DUS, close to Messe.
We got a super great deal here through hotels.com.
Dusseldorf was our to-and-from airport going in and out of the US while on vacation in Europe this year. For English-speaking travelers, the front desk staff does speak English.
The website claims that they have a shuttle that goes to and from the airport. The guy at the information desk at the airport told us they didn't, and that we'd have to take a cab. :( As this was one of the reasons I picked the hotel, this was something of a disappointment.
The location is very near a tram stop that can take you to the Altstadt. Service was friendly and the room was clean. Wifi isn't free, which is common in this class of hotel. I have no particular complaints, but as with most Hiltons, this was clean and pleasant but lacked real character. We used rented apartments for the remainder of our stay in Europe, and this just didn't stand up to their charm.
Also, there are green apples you can take in their lobby. Which is super good, because their breakfast buffet is 20 euro.
I got a standard twin-bed room for 101 EUR/night. That was really worth
the price! Unfortunately you can't say that about the breakfast. Even
for a hotel a 26 EUR breakfast is quite much and therefore you don't get
much extra compared to other hotels, which would charge you about 15-18
EUR for that.
So I definitely liked the rooms, the staff and their
service, as well as the gym and wellness area. But I was disappointed by
the breakfast. The high prices for food and drinks have also been
mentioned here by others before.
I still think that this is one of THE
preferred hotels by Americans in this area. I guess they prefer American hotel chains and I also noticed that the staff is well prepared
