Another Headingley charity shop! Just trying to count them in my head I think there are 9 (including Oxfam books)!  Yay! I wouldn't say this is one of the best charity shops in Headingley  - it's quite small and usually doesn't have much that catches my eye. But it's often about luck with charity shops and you never know when you may find a charity shop gem.

If planning a charity shop mission in Leeds, Headingley is the place to hunt, and I definitely wouldn't miss out Help The Aged...and it's on a street full of yummy eating places if you need re-fuelling after all the rummaging. Help the Aged has the standard combination of clothes, books, children's toys and home ware at good prices. If you find something you like it will be a bargain!

Headingly is full of charity shops and once you start shopping in them you realise that they aren't all the same. This one is not my favorite but a charity shop non the less. Unusually it stocks jelly sweets and jams as well as the usual clothes, shoes and books. It has a large proportion of trinkets such as vases and plates. Last time I went in it I felt very awkward. There was no background music so all I could hear was the eerie squeak of hangers as I looked through the clothes.

The Arndale in Headingly has a mixture of coffee shops and charity shops (this isn't to the exclusion of all other types of shops they are just what stick in my mind when thinking of the Arndale). If you come through Headingly a different way up The Parade you'll find 'Help the Aged'. A lovely small store truly cram packed with all different kinds of goods in small quantities there are; children's toys and games, kitchenware, cutlery, books, films, music, homeware and of course clothes all in very good condition. I spied a book I used to love to read and watch the adaptation of on TV. It was hard not to tear it off the shelf, so hard I may have to go back.
