Really nice garden centre with easy access and plenty of free parking. Has got indoor and outdoor section, sells lots of things such as cath kidston stuff, christmas decorations, cards, books and is actually just a nice place to browse through on a saturday afternoon.
I love going there at Christmas, because their displays are fantastic to look at and gives you lots of ideas about what to do in your own home, most things are reasonably priced, particularly the books which always seem to be on special offer.
Large garden centre with Hobbycraft attached, you'll find a large selection of plants and garden products , in a clean and logical layout.
Large cafe completes the picture
Haskins has a good range of plants, equipment, decorations, and crafty bits. I quite enjoy wondering round but I do just end up buying nothing in the end as I find it all a bit pricey. Unless I'm desperate for some mediocre plants I won't buy them here.
Having said that I do enjoy wondering round for a couple of hours and having a sunday lunch in the restaurantperhaps I'm getting old early!
A great garden centre that is located next to Hobby Craft. They have a good selection of plants and gifts as well as some food. They have a cafe inside. Near Christmas they sell decorations and lights. There is also a pet shop where you can buy pets from. They currently sell fish, gerbils, hamsters, budgies, parrots, rabbits and guinea pigs as well as pet food, cages, tanks etc.
This is a great garden centre, it has lots of parking but is laid out so you are never too far away form the store and has the bonus of a hobbycraft next door. They have a pets are with live rabbits, birds, hamsters etc which all look happy and well looked after. They have some beautiful plants and trees outside that you really are spoilt for choice. The inside has gifts, jewellery and garden things for sale and some things are quite unique and quirky. They also have a café there which is ok if you get there early but can get busy and the staff on the till don't understand how to work quickly.
If you have young children and fancy a couple of hours out on a Sunday then I would highly recommend Haskins! They have a beautiful Christmas display on at the moment with a little light village and hundreds of lights and decorations. It keeps the kids amused for ages! Then when you have looked round the shop you can go into the café where they do lovely food (bit pricey) but lots of cakes and choice for kids too. The if it's not too cold you can sit outside next to a kids play bit slides and climbing structures whilst you have your coffee and cake! Lovely place with more then just things for the garden nice books little trinkets for gifts and a pet corner too!
I like to visit a Haskins store, each shop has a different lay out,i visit the one at westend Southampton.
Because i have a allotment i love to look at the pkt of seeds, yes some are a bit pricey, but if you take the time to check out the different makes, you can pick out a bargin or two.
The garden section also stock potato seeds and onion sets which is a real help for me,there is always a section of well knewn names.
At Christmas time their displays are second to none, and are worth taking the kids on a wet Sunday afternoon to see all the coloured lights, and afterwards having a good cuppa with a bun.
I offen walk through the store looking at the wonderful pictures on display, some are expensive, but its your choice, and of course it cost nothing to just look and dream.
Suming up this store has something for everyone, and i enjoy each visit to this store at least once a month.
