This is a takeaway with a difference. Based right at the end of Dumbarton road, this wee joint does some pretty fine Italian without the grease.

They pretty much provide Italian restaurant grub for the takeaway market without the stupidly, oh I'll just sell my kidney on the black market to be able to pay for that, overpricing which some places think they can get away with...not pointing any elbows DiMaggio's....

Anyway, they do a full range of pastas, risottos, starters, pizzas and burgers, oh and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream too...yum. All of which is of good quality at the previously mentioned reasonable e prices. The best thing about this place is it pretty much delivers to everywhere and i think its open pretty late as well....oh, one more thing, these guys have a website which you can use to order and pay for your food, pretty handy if you ain't got no dough to pay for your dough....

Since moving back West I have been having serious decent take away Italian style pizza withdrawl symptoms...I loved Cafe Zecchino's pizzas but with them being in the East End I very much doubt they would deliver to us anymore. Sad times. So, in search of my new favourite pizza take-away place I discovered and therefore thought I would try Grillicious.

I wasn't expecting much...I had read mixed reviews so when that happens I figure it's one of those hit-or-miss places. I ordered using the Just Eat website because I didnt have a menu. I noticed they had Meal For One deals and pizza was included in this so we ordered 2 of Meal For One pizza deals which includes; one 10" pizza with choice of 2 toppings, chips & a can for £6.50 which I thought was pretty good. I was impressed with their variety of pizza toppings, especially as I LOVE salami and a lot of places don't use it, only pepperoni or some other sort of sausage. They also have spinach too - another favourite of mine. I ordered salami & fresh chillies as my 2 toppings and my boyfriend ordered ham & pineapple.

Whenever I order online like this I do worry that they haven't got my order or it hasn't gone through correctly so I did wonder if our food was actually going to turn up at all! Luckily it did (of course) and in good time too. I requested a menu so in future I could phone an order in, rather than always rely on having to go online.

As soon as the food entered our flat I had a good feeling! The smell was pretty incredible...I was very hungry right enough but even still, from smell alone it was a good start. I took one look of my pizza and I was so delighted as it was just the type of pizza I had been craving ~ thin, Italian style with quality topping ingredients. Oh yes. One bite & I was conviced I had found my new favourite pizza take-away! *chomp chomp* Our pizzas were delicious and even the chips were really good! They looked like regular kebab shop-style chips but they tasted so much nicer. We were both very happy customers & we vowed to order again, soon...and we did. Second time around I ordered a 14" pizza with the same toppings & my boyfriend had grilled chicken & ham - mine was as tasty as before & so was his. So it wasn't just a fluke last time! Yay!

Upon perusing their menu ALL of their food sounds brilliant ~ I could happily order everything on the menu as it mixes up pizzas/Italian dishes (risotto, lasagne & various other pasta dishes) with burgers, Indian, fajitas & grilled foods (lamb chops & half baby chicken). They also have some cracking starters/light bites too ~ Gamberoni Portofino & Pollo alla Diavola both sound AMAZING.

Right now I can't see past their gorgeous pizzas but one day I will try something else to see if they are just as good making those dishes as they are their pizzas.

If I had to say anything negative about the food we have had then I would say that with the salami pizza I've found it can be a bit oily/greasy, but that must be down to the salami as the ham & pineapple and chicken & ham pizzas were both oil-free. Even still, my pizzas were damn tasty! Mmm...is it pizza o'clock yet?

I came home from work last night and was craving a takeaway. I wasn't sure what I was feeling like so I browsed the just eat app and stumbled across this little gem. I ordered using the app and it arrived on time without any hiccups.

I ordered the classic bruschetta and Pollo Alla Diavola as well as the tiramisu. The bruschetta was the best I have had in Glasgow on lovely crisp garlicky bread with plenty of tomato basil and Parmesan. The Pollo Alla Diavola which is grilled fillets of chicken marinaded in lime, garlic, paprika and rosemary was extremely tasty along with its chilli minty dipping sauce. Unfortunately the salad served alongside it left a bit more to be desired as it was really just a wee bit of iceberg lettuce and I was hoping for some arugula. The tiramisu was a little bit creamy but delicious all the same.

Next time I'm looking forward to trying the pizzas and pasta they also have on their menu!

I must say I'm quite the fan of this little shop right at the end of Dumbarton Road. Having walked passed it a million times, We were starving and out of ideas one late night when we decided to give it a whirl. Having found the most amazing pizza at Scrummy Yummy Pizza Co., we were hesitant in trying another pizza elsewhere, but at £5.95 for a large margarita pizza, we couldn't resist.

Let me say now that our minds were thrown for a loop. We were expecting the typical crap pizza we've found else where in the city, but was completely surprised when this amazingly crisp, brick style oven pizza arrived at our door. It was pretty damn near spot on taste wise and the crust/base as a whole was crispy and slightly brick oven charred. We were happy campers!

We've been back a few times when wanting a quick pizza near the flat and will be back for sure now that we know that it's worth it. We just might have to try something new next time.

Grillicious offers quite a basic menu of grilled chicken, pizzas and other Italian meals such as pizzas, pastas and risottos as well as doing burgers. But within this simplicity they offer really tasty food at good prizes. I absolutely love lasagne and I think that as a rule of thumb you can tell how good an Italian restaurant take away is by how tasty their lasagne is and I have to say theirs is pretty good. My girlfriend had the risotto from which was also really nice, have yet to try the pizzas or burgers but I can vouch that the Italian selection is very tasty.

*good variety of pizza toppings aswell!

As a vegetarian, I tend to stay away from restaurants with the word 'grill' in them, however Gillicious provides a varied menu with pizza, pasta and risottos in addition to its burgers. The meals are quite simple but the prices reflect this; I'd recommend this place if you can't be bothered cooking rather than for a special occasion.

I've been to this place a couple of times, and service is friendly and efficient without being overbearing. The pizza is particularly good and there is a wide range of toppings. Recommended.

Mixed feeling about this place. I was a loyal customers for years until recently when I got cursed out for not picking up my phone in time for the order (it was on vibrate in the other room). After that experience I've been completely turned off from the place, but objectively it has quite nice food-- especially the pastas and kebabs.
