A really friendly, lovely place! They offer some great dishes - traditional german and some others- and cater quite well for vegetarians.
The staff are really friendly and personable, even though english is not their first language. They're obviously very knowledgable on the food and drinks they serve - all our questions were answered!
While this is possibly the most expensive place I've been to so far in Kreuzberg, it was worth it! (and the surprise desert was indeed surprising)
I come to Gri Gri a lot, since it's right next to my workplace, and they have a rather cheap lunch offer that changes every day. Dinner is more on the expensive side, but always tasty. It's mostly traditional german cuisine, but not too heavy (as in, Schnitzel comes with plenty of fresh salad). There are also a few vegetarian options. The atmosphere is very relaxed. You'll find both local families and tourists on the beautiful patio right next to the Landwehrkanal. Staff's also pretty relaxed and friendly, although not always fast. Still this is definitely my favourite restaurant on Paul-Lincke-Ufer, and a great place to sit outside and have a draft beer on warm summer nights.
