Living in Brighton, I am somewhat spoiled for places to eat out, so I therefore didn't hold out a great deal of hope when it came to eating in a small town like Arundel, shame on me however.
Golden Willow was a lovely restaurant, offering a good selection of food for a price that is perhaps a little bit more steep then it should be.
That said, coming here for a spot of lunch is actually really quite cheap, you can get two courses and a drink for not much more then £10. That is probably what i'd recommend most to get the best value for your money.
It's nice to have a restaurant next to a pond. I'm very fond of British-Chinese food, and Golden Willow certainly offers that. It's your standard prawn crackers and delicious Peking duck pancakes recipe for success!
The hungry kitten says: Go here when you need your Chinese nosh!
I love this little restaurant as it overlooks Storrington duck pond so if its a lovely day or a nice evening sunset, it really adds to the atmosphere. The staff are really great and the service is impeccable. The starters are worth over-ordering! They really are nice - especially the crispy duck.
We usually go there for lunch as its a lot quieter than the dinner service. They do a special two course lunch for £8.90 which I think is great value for money.
Check out the take away service too, it tastes just as good as eating in if you don't want to miss anything on the TV!
