I was enticed inside for a look by the lovely designs on the storefront display. Gill Wing has a tiny jewellery store on Upper Street, and pretty easy to miss. But there is a treasure trove of gorgeous designs here, and something for everyone.
The emphasis is on wearable art, so you can carry off anything you find here. I was impressed by long earrings set in silver, set in a really intricate set of hoops that truly were unique. They weren't cheap at 30 pounds, so it remains on my Christmas wish list. This shop a great place to pick up a present for a loved one, and there are a variety of stones and settings available.
There are three things you will see when take a look at this shop window: colour, shine and wood. When you walk in, you will see three things: colour, shine and wood. There is so much kitchenware in Gill Wing - you will find anything and everything you need to kit out your kitchen. Beware, though, it's not at all cheap - it's the sort of place that you can buy elaborate wooden spoons and chunky mixing bowls that make cooking that bit more enjoyable and that make you want to have friends around for dinner all the time. This is great for those of you who have money coming out of your ears, but for us unemployed boohoo, it's a nice place to buy your friend's first cookie jar from. Apart from the lady trying to hoover up around my feet and me wishing I had my own flat and my own kitchen to buy all this stuff for, I very much enjoyed my experience wondering around Gill Wing.
