fish is cooked fresh, well presented in nice looking cardboard boxes (rather than newspaper), pretty tasty, but using beef dripping like previous owners would have been 5 stars.
Very posh as chip shops go- wooden floors, branded boxes, smart thick branded bags, not a newspaper in sight. Despite being cooked freshly to order, the chips were a little overdone but not greasy, and portion not very satisfactory. However, the food wasn't as expensive as expected and didn't leave me feeling full and guilty so maybe that's a good thing.
What a truly excellent fish and chip shop. Chips were par excellence as was the battered cod. I must say, I am very happy to see this establishment now in the hands of responsible business people and out of the of the hands of the shifty characters who ran it before when it was The Old Shilling; should have been called Liars of Leamington under the old management. Well done guys, it took some doing to turn the business around after the previous proprietors' shocking mismanagement of the shop. Thumbs up all round!
