Local butchers are wonderful institutions. You get a wise-cracking, straight-talking character with a meat cleaver and a nice fresh cut of steak. Franks is a great little family-run business run by the man himself. He gets his meat from Smithfield market every morning -- the same as all of the posh restaurants -- but his prices are very reasonable. He'll also take orders for items he doesn't normally carry. He also stocks eggs (normal caged ones, but they're only 85p for half a dozen and they're huge), pies, and the types of sausages different spices and flavour combinations (the sort of thing Frank himself rolls his eyes at, but keeps because the customers like them).
