Fat Faced Cat

Very cute selection, mostly from the 1950's and 1960's, but some from 30s, 40s, 80s. Also, and Ugh- so many cute shoes, so expensive to want them all!!! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff..

Hidden away from the bustle of Islington's main streets is this little gem of a vintage shop. It's little more than a broom cupboard what with almost all the interior space taken up by a haberdashery of vintage odds and retro ends. Second-hand clothes, shoes, jewelry, belts, bags and other accessories for both men and women seem to jump out of every corner. The delightful owner will tell you a little story about each and every item you pick up. She also makes and sells her own range of funky skirts and bags for ladies. There are regular sales.

Located in the cavern of wonders that is Camden Passage, Fat Faced Cat is one of my favourite places to go shopping. An eclectic mix of vintage and retro clothing and accessories with quality second to none. Pieces are carefully sourced and some of the clothing is made by the owners themselves, you can really tell they enjoy what they do and are incredibly knowledgeable. It's the ideal place to find unique pieces and it's a really treat to visit.

fat faced cat is an awesome vintage place it can be a little pricey but i have managed to kit myself out for a wedding or 2 for well under £100. and with vintage you know nobody else will be wearing it!
