I am very impressed with this company and their cleaners. I booked them for an end of tenancy clean. I was moving out of my flat and it had to be cleaned by professionals in order for me to get my deposit back. I didn't know who to call because they are so many of them online so I contacted my mum. She recommended this company because she's been using them for nearly 10 years now and she is very happy with them.
I called them straight away and the booking process went smoothly. They provided me with all the needed information. What really surprised me was the price, for a one bedroom flat they charged me £120.
The team arrived on time and the cleaning went very smoothly. They took 3 hours to clean the whole place including the carpet, too. They handled their work in a very professional manner. The place was spotless. There were no hidden charges. The landlord was very pleased with with the end result and I got my deposit back. I will definitely recommend this company to everyone.
Aw I feel bad seeing the low ratings for these guys. I have been availing of their service for the past couple of years and perhaps I can provide a more long-term view of their service quality, not based only on their Groupon offer. They employ cleaners who are reliable and regular. I like the timely communication from the agency if the cleaner expects to be on holiday or if she happens to run late for any reason. Similarly, I can always go through the company if I have special needs like switching my cleaning schedule around.
I am broadly happy with their service and may even rate it 3.5 stars but not 4 stars because the ultimate day-to-day happiness with the service really depends on who comes to your house regularly. My cleaner in my first year of service was amazingly thorough (a 5-star!) and efficient even if she spoke broken English. When I renewed the contract after the break of a few months, I got someone who was lackadaisical AND surly (2-star!) so I asked the agency to send me someone else and my current cleaner is cheerful and efficient but not as thorough as I would like, so strictly a 3 star.
PS - If anyone from the company is reading this, please stop sending me infinite cleaning offers over email and SMS, I already subscribe to your service, thanks!
I purchased a Groupon for a housecleaning service with FastKlean. It was £29 instead of £99 for 2 hours of cleaning by two people, or 4 hours of cleaning by one person. For the price I paid, I'm not hugely dissatified, but this was not a top notch service.
The company was terribly disorganized throughout the process of booking the cleaning. They kept calling, texting and emailing both my husband and me to make the booking. After my husband had made the booking, they kept texting me saying we hadn't. The day before our cleaning, they called to change the time of the cleaning. When my husband called back, they changed it back to the original time. I found this really frustrating and unprofessional.
Our cleaner arrived almost 20 minutes late, and although we were booked for 8am-10am (thus, I assumed we'd have 2 cleaners), only one man showed up. If I had made any appointments for later in the morning, I would have had to cancel or miss them as I needed to be in the house to "sign off" on the cleaning at the end.
Our cleaner ultimately did about 3.5 hours of work, rather than 4, but to be fair, he had completed the service in that time. The quality of the cleaning is fine, but it's not exceptional. For instance, I had to specifically ask him to clean the top of the stove, which had been overlooked when he initially cleaned the kitchen.
I would definitely not pay £100 for this service nor would I recommend them to friends. While I accept that FastKlean may have been somewhat overwhelmed by the number of people who booked this service through Groupon, I ultimately think they should have been prepared for that before they offered the deal.
I'm dropping them down to 1 star because they've harassed me non-stop since writing this review. They've actually been quite accommodating and have offered to provide me with a free replacement cleaning, but they've been persistent to the point that it's invasive and uncomfortable. I don't want another cleaning. I simply want to be left alone.
I have specifically asked them several times to please not contact me anymore, yet they keep on contacting me. Furthermore, they get pissed at me for not returning their calls, despite the fact that I'm a busy person and don't have the time to speak with them.
It's like all of my crazy ex-girlfriends combined and squared.
Just let it go, FastKlean. PLEASE.
