Went there 21 june 2010. Wow my 21 month old had the time of her life. I am an extra worrier, so made up she can climb in a padded area, to go down on a slide. She loved the little tractors, the sand pit, the outdoor climbing slide and tube. She loved mixing with other toddlers the most. The prices were reasonable, and to be honest, I would prefer them to be high. This would stop over crowding. I should imagine too many kids, would spoil the experience, and this way, it is a special treat once a week, rather than the same kids going every day and hogging play areas. You can bring your own food, which makes the day cheaper if you wish, but food is served in a cafe with a high chair. Again if its a special day, I will treat us all. Well Done Farmer Ted!
Been there a few times since, and still very happy, but one thing that spoils it, is some parents letting the over 4's run riot in the under 4's area. Obviously this is dangerous. It isnt policed, and so up to the parent. But as we all know, some parents do not care if they themselves upset other people, and so they cant be expected to worry about their kids. It always seems to be the rough kids, and I have felt my temper going a few times, when parents dont care. I even saw one woman with about 5 kids, laughing as her 5 or six year old climbed above my 23 month old, on somewhere you were not supposed to climb. Raise the prices I say! At least people with responsible jobs realise why you have to be considerate.

my 2 year old loved his trip to farmer teds, we were goin to have his birthday party there but the weather wasnt good so we decided against it. There is a large selection of animals thats he loved looking at, especially the goats with there sky walkway things, they made us all chuckle. There is a large indoor play area with a small toddler section which kept him more than entertained. there is also an outdoor play area and sandpit. They have ride on tractors which i couldnt get my lad off. The prices are reasonible and its a great day out for all the family. There is also a cafe, however we had brought a picnic so cannot comment on the quality of it.

A great place for a family outing. My five-year-old loved the animal barn, which houses goats, sheep, ponies, pigs, chickens and rabbits. Other favoured activities were the giant sandpit, ride-on pedal tractors and large outdoor play area. Tractor rides and barrel rides are also available at extra cost, though the latter was very bumpy and possibly not a good choice for younger children. Indoors, there is a brilliant three-storey soft play area, where the 4+ age group can run wild, and a small under-4s area. Adults can relax on the large squishy sofas, which have an unobstructed view of the play area, for peace of mind. The café sources most of its well-priced food from the adjoining farm shop, so quality is a notch above that normally found in this type of venture. Throughout the day, there were demonstrations of pony grooming, how to milk a cow, even sheep-shearing, all well attended, so plan to arrive at each one early for the best view. My children love Farmer Ted's, and as the prices aren't too steep, particularly midweek, so do I.
