Great shopping centre in Ballymena which has really taken off. Has lots of excellent shops such as M&S, Next, Desire by Debenhams, Monsoon to name a few of my favourites. Unfortunately BHS has now closed but there are new stores opening in the autumn. Something to look forward to. The centre is always kept spotlessly clean and has areas to sit and relax. The Food Court is really good and reasonably priced for a snack or a meal. I always enjoy a quick Chinese from the Food Court. Now that the carpark has been extended makes a big difference too. Well worth a visit!
Despite the larger range of young women's fashion shops in this shopping centre, I don't prefer it! I do prefer to park in the Tower Centre carpark, as it is half the price of Fairhill Shopping Centre, and then walk to fairhill, as the shops between them are also delightful!
There are a few shops in Fairhill Shopping Centre that I would travel for, such as TopShop and the larger River Island; there is even talk that a new New Look may be moving to this shopping centre too!
There is also a Starbucks for a quick break and to rest your feet.
It could also be argued that this shopping centre has everything under one roof, the M & S and BHS adding to this.
I'm afraid I've marked this down a bit because of the Parking prices. I've taken to not using their car park and walking from other car parks around town instead, so a bit of a thumbs down as far as convenience is concerned. A pleasant centre to shop in, though for me it could do with a bit more of the less expensive shops. I hear there are some changes of tennants due soon and hope they will get a more varied mix of shops. Those down the section leading to BHS tend to be very quiet, as does BHS itself (although it is actually a very good store). I don't know why, but (at least when I've been there) more people seem to mill around in the main shopping thoroughfare between M & S and H & M, rather than the section down to BHS. M & S is huge and spread over two floors, and always seems much busier than it's rival BHS.
Great shopping centre. Ballymena offers the best shopping in Northern Ireland: much better than Belfast, Coleraine, Newry, etc. Has lots of excellent shops, catering for all ages. Shops include: fashion, books, games, toy, jewellery, supermarket, shoes, baby, sports, health, cafes, snack, chemist, stationery. Lots of top names including Clockwork Orange, Bhs, Mothercare, Monsoon, Petroleum, Top Shop, Starbucks, Vera Moda, Wallis, River Island and Next. Even the walk between here and the Tower Centre has lots of great shops.
a good shopping centre the parking is a tad pricey but worth parking here and wlk from here to the other shopping centre and between the two you have every shop you could need. Nice modern interior and lots of fantastic shops! inc h and m
