I will start with the best things - location and the price. It is located very close to Belfast city centre, making it a great hub to explore the city; and the price was very cheap considering prices of other accommodations in the city.

The rooms is pretty basic and quite small - bed, sink and just enough space for suitcase. I stayed on my own in a double room and I honestly don't know how two people manage to squeeze in one room.

No hair dryer, if you want one you have to ask at the reception. Also no kettle in the room but again you can make yourself a cuppa downstairs near reception. I am not sure if the room is cleaned, I have been out all day, when I was coming back 18:30sh there was a lady asking if people need to change towels, but my room wasn't cleaned by then.

Continental breakfast is £8.50 but I didn't try it so can't comment. If you want to leave your bag after checkout it's £2. Also in one of the lifts the button to my floor wasn't working, which is mildly annoying because if you are using the stairs you need to use your room card otherwise doors to the floor will not open. And you can't call for another lift while the one with broken button is on your floor.

The hotel is very central and only a 10 minute walk from the bus station, and is a great base for site seeing. The rooms are very small and there is no bathroom; instead the shower and sink are in the room and just the toilet is separated by a door, so the room gets quite stuffy after showering as there's no fan. They only provide a bar of soap, no other toiletries and nothing else in the room. You need to pay a deposit to reception to use the hair dryer and iron, however tea and coffee are free near the breakfast area and they also have a microwave. Breakfast was pretty good, but they supply raw eggs for which you have to boil yourself, which I found strange and waste of time. I would have preferred if the eggs were already boiled. They also have ham, cheese, yoghurts, beans, cereals, breads and fruit so it was good for a budget hotel and very cheap too. The staff were friendly and check in was quick.
The room only had two sockets under the tv, none near the beds which was very inconvenient in terms of charging your phone.
Overall, a bit too basic for my liking in terms of raw eggs at breakfast and lack of sockets which I would otherwise expect as a bare minimum.

There is no bathroom. The shower is where the bedroom is. Smells like a sewer and the room was filthy. Hair on the bed and a dried blood stain on the comforter. It is a great location

A budget hotel but for a budget price so no complaints.

We stayed in a twin room which consisted of a double bed with a single bunk type bed above it ... It was unusual but also quirky and functional.
There was a separate shower cubicle and small room with a toilet and hand basin.

Definitely not luxury but adequate for a quick stop
      Over !

      Two words: bunk beds.

Was not expecting that when we entered our room. This is our Belfast stop on our Contiki tour.

The shower is in the room as well and the toilet is a stall near the door which doesn't lock.

The upper bunk had body hair in the sheets, which was not ours and thoroughly creeped us out.

Our room was directly above the pub next door, so we had the additional charm of an included 'second heart beat' until about 2am.

Bonus: barred soap which has been a sight for sore eyes since we left Edinburgh as most budget hotels in the UK use liquid soap/shampoo/shower gel combos.

I probably wouldn't stay here if I ever returned to Belfast.

Bloatini like, but also I must be honest - there is a dance remix of "Call Me Al" blasting from a neighbouring bar as I type this, and it is bleeding through the walls, seeping into my veins, and polluting my soul. Belfaaaaaaaaast!

This is a hostel expanded to the size of a full hotel (that's not necessarily a bad thing).

Small rooms, but well thought out with the layout. Shower opens directly into the room as does the bathroom. Quite clean. TV and WiFi in the rooms. Feels new and updated.

Good location, as it's central and close to the train station, the coach station and the city centre. No facilities in the hotel to speak of. Breakfast is continental only and not included in the price so you might as well head out for that (plenty of options nearby). Staff is nice.

Keep in mind - bar next door that can be loud into the night, if that's something that would bother you. Also the windows have very poor blinds, so the light comes into the room very early during the long Irish summer days.

Cheap and cheerful. The rooms are fairly small but clean and comfortable enough. There's a small shower and toilet cubicle, TV, and bed. We had a twin which was a double with a single bunk bed above it. Not comfy enough that you would want to stay more than a night or 2, there are Premier Inns within the same price range if booked well in advance and 100 times more comfortable but it serves a purpose. And there's drink and snacks available in the reception area and plenty of seating for a bit of craic after the pub.

Etap Belfast is centrally located on Dublin Road. A relatively new establishment which is part of the Ibis chain. Being a budget hotel, or rather hostel it does the job perfectly if you are staying only a couple of nights or looking for a bed to jump in after a night out. Rooms are either twin, double or double with a bunk bed. There is wifi and a tv in each room, a shower cubicle and toilet. They serve continental breakfast and some snacks and drinks but do not expect any luxuries. Clean, tidy and cheap - does the job in its category. Bunch of restaurants and bars nearby.

Run away! I booked this hotel for three nights and am kicking myself now for not foreseeing the terrible sleep deprivation headed my way. The sound of the nightclub next door are so loud that it drowns out my tv. Worse still are the scores of completely intoxicated people screaming, blasting music and falling down drunk in the hallways. The ring of vomit around the "hotel" is pretty off putting too.
