I spent two years living just around the corner from this little gem. Billing themselves as the "healthy" Indian takeaway, don't expect your usual greasy ruby from here. All the veg in their dishes is organic, they don't do red meat dishes, they use brown rice instead of the usual spice-fried pilau and they make their breads and chapatis using wholemeal flour.
This is curry for the health-conscious and definitely the place for you if you've been put off curry by the thought of an over-creamy korma or a chicken tikka masala swimming in that weird orangey-coloured oil. Eshna's dishes are crisp, clean and you can actually taste the individual ingredients.
You can have a look at their menu here: brightontasty.com/menus/… (including their tips for keeping healthy). Most dishes are around £5-7 and come with brown rice, a poppadum and an onion salad, so it's great value for money too.
I ordered a delivery, which took 20 mins more than the advertised 45 mins, yet no attempt was made to call me about this and no apology once the guy turned up.
The sag poneer was made with cheddar cheese and is the worst I've ever had.
The fish curry did not appear to contain fish.
The brown rice was actually steamed plain rice.
I will not be using this place again.
