Very good Farmers market - Thursdays and Saturdays. Some great places to buy fruits and vegetables. There's one place on the corner near Starbucks that has the most moist delicious Currywurst. Also don't miss the place with the waffles with powdered sugar. Nice selection of flea market type items as well. Only downside is that the plate is filthy dirty afterwards on Friday and Sunday mornings and I mean filthy.
I was a little lost in Frankfurt and had been walking without food and liquid for some time but could smell something cooking. I followed my nose and stumbled across this little market just outside the main shopping stretch. I wandered around to see the fresh produce and butcher shops as well as places offering up fresh apple juice and apple wine. Some people were even serving up a bbq so I had to try a German braut!
For 4.5 euros I got myself a sausage on a bun with a glass of apple wine. The apple wine wasn't bad the sausage was delicious. It was the best 2.5 euros I spent on a meal this year. I saw muffins and other baked goods going for more money.
I also picked up some fruit and started my lost wander across Frankfurt.
Worthy of being a Frankfurt tourist attraction.
