Endsleigh is more then just a garden centre, you actually drive past it on the A38 from which it is clearly visible from.
It has a very large cafe with a lovely selection of food at reasonable prices, with windows looking out onto a play area for children.
There is a wide selection of plants both indoor and out, as well as fish and other animals. My children love going up there to look at the fish, spiders and snakes.
They have an assortment of clothes for both adults and fun items like wellys, tabards etc for children.
There is a small selection of toys for children mostly wooden items. They always have a grotto at christmas though every year has not been as good as the last.
This year it was a lot smaller and you were not allowed to take any pictures, instead you had to pay for a photo for Santa, we ended up queueing up inside the grotto which meant the children were all getting very bored.
But the gifts are always lovely and it always puts a smile on my little ones faces.
There is a very large free car park with bays for disabled people and people with young children.
There is also a Farmshop just outside Endsleigh where you can buy all your fresh produce and meat.
Endsliegh Garden centre is seen by all who travel south on the A38 on their way down to Plymouth. It looks immense and too be honest it really is! They have a julian greaves incorporated into it and also a farm shop next door. Plenty of plants for the plant lover, an extensive book bit, pets and fish. (I especially like the dumbo eared rats!) They have a grotto at christmas although Im not sure what it is like becuase I think I am slightly too old!
Parking is impressive and access is easy. Oh and the Christmas decorations are good fun!.
A positive Aladdin's cave - and some of it is really nice, unusual, quality stuff. There is a lot of tatt too and none of it is terribly cheap. Can't comment on the plants because I would rather buy those from a proper nursery but the gardening sundries are good, excellent bird-feeding section, fabulous Christmas decorations and the Santa's grotto is worth the money (well it has been in previous years haven't been yet this year). The cafe is good, plenty of high chairs. Lots to look at for the kids including a massive pet section - if that's the kind of thing they like. Good farm shop next door. Plenty of parking.
Endsleigh Garden centre is right on the A38 Plymouth bound side. Endsleigh offers a lot more than just a garden centre; there is wonderful cafe/restaurant, fish and exotic animal section (this always keeps the children amused) The Christmas shop is well worth a visit as is a visit to see Father Christmas (although the wait is quite long) The introduction of the new small play area outside makes it into more of a day out especially for those with younger children. Some of the goods are overpriced and would be found cheaper elsewhere but over all Endsleigh is worth a visit.
