    1 check-in here
    Listed in Spa-tastic!

This is admittedly a really lovely spa environment and feels like a relaxing, indulgent experience.

It has a welcoming and comfortable waiting area and warm and luxurious treatment rooms. I'm a big fan of Elemis products which are a real treat for the skin, and they also use the same waxing products as Bliss spa (definitely recommended).

My only slight gripe is that they automatically add a tip/service at 12.5% to the bill, and then ask if you want to take it off or adjust it. I just feel this is the wrong way to do things - I'd much prefer to be given the option to discretely add service rather than be confronted by this conversation; it does dull the post-treatment glow somewhat.

This is a wonderful sanctuary.. i fought may way through the crowds of peps sipping wine and chattering and collapsed through the door and flopped onto the lounge in the waiting area.. i wanted peace and soothing and calm and that is exactly what i got.. the lovely Olivia offered me herbal tea (was yum since u ask)

Then for the treatment...well this was something new.. a rassul (forgive me if i have spelt this wrong).. it was like a Turkish bath ...except it was in a steam filled temple with stars on the ceiling and a heated throne for me to recline in ..i had just covered myself in all sorts of different muds and then sat in this steaming temple for 30 minutes until the 'rains' came...which was literally like warm rain from the ceiling...this washed away all the mud..then i doused myself in the scrumcious smelling oils and felt rather detoxified and zen.

How cute? I am so excited when I talked to one of the staff.
Their management will expand another spa but this time it is for kiddies. I'm
so excited 'coz I will be going to register my daughter.

Elemis is brilliant. I can't say enough good things about this spa.

I was fortunate to receive a voucher for a treatment here, and went in not knowing what to expect. Let's just say I was very pleasantly surprised.

The space is beautiful, and the treatments are truly luxurious. All of the employees (therapists and front desk staff alike) are extremely professional and kind.

It's a very welcoming atmosphere where you can just melt away into bliss.

Though it's not cheap, I'll definitely be saving some pennies and booking Elemis sessions on a regular basis.

Along with a treatment at Mayfair Spa you get full use of the facilities for as long as you want. Facilities include a spa and sauna, and to cool down between the use of these two rooms 3 experience shower room which was: a multi-sensory storm shower (basically a giant shower head), ice fountain (basically an ice dispenser - which was actually quite fun) and a giant bucket of ice water. There is also a relaxation room which is dark and has drinks and fruits for refreshment.

Before heading out to use the facilities we checked out what the shower room had to offer - impressively, in addition to the shower gels and moisturisers you would need, they also provided hair products, hairdryers and even a hair straightener (GHDs!)

I decided to go for an Aromatherapy massage for an hour. I was expecting it to be quite relaxing (whch for the most part it was) but my therapist said that if she identified any particular areas of interest she might go a little deeper than relaxation. She must have found quite a few spots on my back because man she was digging in!! Still it felt sooooo good!!! I'm pretty sure I actually even nodded off at some stage! A nice touch on the massage was the warmed face towel which was very soothing.

Our treatments were followed by sorbets in the relaxation room. What a great way to finish a couple of hours of decadence!

ELEMIS products are highly popular in many Spas around Great Britain. The Elemis Motto is "defined by nature led by Science" and the treatment bumpf includes numerous assurances backed by Scientific surveys that none of their products were tested on animals.
Many of their body treatments are inspired by world beauty therapies-the Balinese Boreh Hot Spice Ritual at a 160.00 for 2 hours included a hot spicey therapy,a well-being massage and an enriching milk bath.
They have manicures, pedicures, massages and stone therapies for people who like to have regular treatments for optimum maintenance.

I loved the Visible Brilliance Facial costing 115 pounds, which was least stressful and most indulgent. With that was included a hand and arm massage,a gentle scalp-massage,which not only did wonders for my stiff muscles but smelt fabulous.

surprisingly peaceful and quiet for its location (unlike other "sanctuaries" in central london).  the busy restaurant across the street was quickly silenced upon entering the door past reception.

we dropped by for the steam rasul where we applied detoxing mud then sat in steam for 30 minutes.  the tropical rain comes on suddenly without warning (come on...5 second warning is appreciated) but at least it's warm water.

then shower it off and moisturize all with delightful elemis products, including the pro-collagen line.  we felt wonderfully relaxed after the treatment.  great way to start the week and end a day.

Experience of Elemis massage was quite pleasant, after getting over initial stress of finding them. Even though I took a cab to get there, he dropped me off a bit further away and I really had difficulties finding it. When I finally found it - the doors were locked and the bell wasn't working. I saw people inside, so I was running around from window to window to catch the attention of the person inside. Finally, I managed to get in. I was offered a good quality green tea which helped me to relax before the treatment began. The massage was pleasant - nothing special though. I loved when they covered me with a thick duvet at the end and left me enjoying for another 5 minutes.
They also managed to sell me some of their products - they are pretty good quality and not too expensive.

I really enjoy the elemis massages. I'm not big fan of these kind of procedures but maybe I'll change my mind. I like their monthly offers  it's so nice that they have different special offers for their customers. The staff are nice and help me feel comfortable during the procedures. The well-being massage is so relaxing after hard working week and prepares me perfect for the lazy weekends.
